Back in 2008, the Faroese knitwear brand Gudrun & Gudrun made its first New York Fashion Week debut; and with NYFW only a few days away, the knitwear brand is flying in from the Nordic island to showcase yet another stunning collection to the most-attended New York fashion event of the year.
Following rave reviews on Gudrun & Gudrun’s NYFW SS2008 collection, the knitwear brand decided to utilize their U.S. success to breakout into the ever-growing American fashion market—offering clothing to the US online and in select stores located in New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois and Massachusetts.
Like other notable names in fashion, opening flagships in New York is, at one point or another, a goal for every up-and-comer—and Gudrun & Gudrun is well on its way there. The United States welcomes the brand into stores like Anthropologie and Calypso for its authentic personality and antithetical approach to following time-conscious trends.
