Celebrity hairstylist Cervando Maldonado worked with Kirsten Dunst for the 73rd Annual Golden Globes on Sunday, January 10th in Los Angeles, CA.
“The inspiration for the look is a modern, classic and chic 70s vibe.”
“I started with damp hair and applied Kérastase Mousse Volumifique to the ends and roots of hair.  Then I sprayed Serge Normant Meta Lush Volumizer through the roots of the hair. After that I rough dried the hair to 95% dry to give it fullness and texture. I then began smoothing out the hair, starting from the front of the head and around the hairline using a small sized Ibiza Boar Bristle Brush. Then I sectioned the hair and started smoothing it out from bottom to top going section by section, using a medium sized boar bristle brush.

Once done with blow-drying the hair, I set the hair with large sized hot rollers from BaByliss. I let the rollers set for about half an hour. Once done cooling I removed the rollers, which had created a great texture with out any wave- just bounce and movement.

Then I parted the hair down the middle slightly off center. Leaving the bang area out I swept the rest of the hair back above the nape and twisted it into a bun, pinning with blonde bobby pins. This was to secure the hair but not too tightly – leaving looseness to the entire look. After that I put the bangs in place tucking slightly around the ears so it can move and look effortless. I sprayed the hair and bang with Klorane Dry Shampoo for brightness and to remove any unwanted oiliness. I then sprayed Serge Normant Meta Revive Dry Shampoo to the roots of the bangs to create a slight lift and hold to the front. Once hair was all in place I added a Fred Leighton hair accessory right below the ear.

I finished the look with L’Oréal Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Hair Spray to hold the hair in place. The final look was a modern chic bun that complimented the gorgeous dress perfectly.
