Maybelline New York spokesmodel Gigi Hadid and Josephine Skriver hit the 2018 CFDA Awards Red Carpet wearing a Maybelline New York’s fan-favorite Superstay Matte Ink, in Heroine and Believer.

The inspiration behind Gigi’s makeup look was based on her outfit, with a vivid lip, which perfectly matched her super model look. The rich matte lip paired with her glowing skin, and was a modern take on a classic look. The lashes were defined but did not shadow her natural beauty for a fresh yet bold look!

Breakdown:

Face: Erin prepped the skin with Maybelline New York Facestudio Master Prime Primer. Following, she applied the Maybelline New York Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Concealer over blemishes and under eyes to brighten up the area. Skin was set with the Maybelline New York Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder in Light for a flawless finish.

Contour and Cheeks: To start contouring, Erin contoured and bronzed the skin all over lightly using the Maybelline New York Facestudio Master Blush Color and Highlight Kit. She highlighted the top of cheek bones, inner corners of eyes, Cupid’s bow and nose using the Maybelline New York Facestudio Master Strobing Stick and the Maybelline New York Illuminating Highlighter in Light Iridescent and Medium Nude Glow by combining both shades.

Eyes: As the first step, Erin swooshed a light touch of eyeshadow onto the crease using the Maybelline New York Expert Wear Eye Shadow in Tastefully Taupe. The Maybelline New York Eyestudio Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil Eyeliner in Sleek Onyx was applied to the inner rim at the upper lash line for extra definition. For top and bottom lashes, Erin used the Maybelline Volum’ Express The Falsies Waterproof Mascara in Blackest Black for extra volume. To feather and define brows, Erin used the Maybelline New York Brow Precise Micro Eyebrow Pencil. As a pro tip to keep the eyes looking meticulous, keep every brow hair in place using the Maybelline New York Eyestudio Brow Drama Sculpting Eyebrow Gel in Clear.

Lips: Erin applied the Maybelline New York Master Glaze Lip Scrub Stick first and then a touch of the new Maybelline New York Prime It Up Multi-Benefit Lip Primer to ensure that lips were smooth for lipstick application. Finally, she precisely applied the Maybelline New York Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick in Heroine for a pop of bright color.

Face and Cheeks: Carolina started Josephine’s skin with the Maybelline New York Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation in 235. She then applied the Maybelline New York Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Concealer Treatment in Light and the Maybelline New York Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder in Light for flawless, smooth looking complexion. Carolina then used the Maybelline New York Facestudio Master Blush Color and Highlight Kit to add a pop of pink to the cheeks for a delicate rosy effect. Specifically, she used the second blush shade from the left and fourth bronze from the left of the palette.

Eyes:  To start shaping the brows, Carolina used the Maybelline New York Total Temptation Eyebrow Definer Pencil in Medium Brown. For the lids, she used the pink shimmer shadow from the Maybelline New York The City Kits All-In-One Eye and Cheek Palette in Pink Edge all over. She mixed the blush shades in this palette to create a soft pink smoky eye and used shades 1 and 3 on the inner corners for some depth. As a pro tip, Carolina recommends using a tissue to leave a smooth line and block any shadow from falling onto the face. Her subtle wing was created with the matte purple shadow in the Maybelline New York The City Kits All-In-One Eye and Cheek Palette. Her lashes were coated with plenty of Maybelline New York Total Temptation Waterproof Mascara in Very Black to ensure voluminous lashes all night long.

Lips: Carolina applied Maybelline New York Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick in Believer to complete the look.
