Celebrity hairstylist Bryce Scarlett and makeup artist Georgie Eisdell worked with Bryce Dallas Howard for the Director’s Guild of America Honors Gala on Thursday, October 15 in New York, NY.

BEAUTY INSPIRATION
Bryce’s dress was very modern and sexy with strong lines so we decided to soften the look with glossy waves.

GET THE LOOK
I parted her hair in a deep side parting and blew it dry using Phytovolume Actif Volumizing Spray at the roots for fullness and hold. Then, I lightly curled the hair in small sections with a 1 inch curling iron, away from her face and let them set. I brushed the curls out with a boar-bristle brush, spraying in between sections with Oribe Dry Texture Spray for thickness and finally smoothing all over with Wella Velvet Amplifier. This gave the curls a great, glossy shine.

MAKEUP ARTIST GEORGIE EISDELL

SKINCARE: I prepared Bryce’s skin with IS clinical’s Youth Intensive Creme to give her skin a beautiful hydration and the perfect base for makeup.

FOUNDATION/POWDER: I used Chanel’s Perfection Lumiere Velvet to create a velvety flawless complexion. I powdered her skin with La Mer’s The Powder to take the edge off the shine and set the base beautifully.

BLUSH/BRONZER: On the apples of her cheeks, I used Laura Mercier’s Powder Blush in Spiced Cider on the apples of the cheeks blending back.
Next I used Tom Fords Bronzing powder in Terra ever so slightly on her cheek bones and forehead to contour and add a touch more color.

EYE SHADOW: The eyes we kept very subtle and clean. Using Bobbi Browns eyeshadow in Bone all over the lid to even out the eye, I used Tom Ford’s Terra bronzer again as a slight wash of color in the crease the create a contour it was barely there but it added shape to the eye. I then lined her eye with Tom Fords eye defining pen in black very finely along the lash line and extended slightly.

MASCARA: I applied two layers of YSL’s faux cold mascara in black to make the lashes full and fluffy. I then added a quarter set of lashes to the outer corner of the eye to finish the look.

LIPS: Her lips were the main focus. I used Tom Ford’s Lip Color Matte in Velvet Cherry to create the perfect pout.
