Bad Santa 2 Premiere

Celebrity makeup artist Quinn Murphy worked with Christina Hendricks for the ‘Bad Santa 2’ Premiere on Tuesday, November 16 in New York, NY.

BEAUTY INSPIRATION:
Christina was wearing a long black dress with bronze and gold sequin details on the top and long sleeves, very art deco.  We wanted to go with the retro glam styling in the makeup, but with a modern approach. Christina wanted to wear a berry lip and I had the idea for a gilded metal eye to play off of the dress.
GET THE LOOK:
I prepped her skin with Orlane Super Moisturizing Cream. It’s perfect for red carpets because it is a great moisturizer, but doesn’t leave any excess shine so you don’t have to over powder or look greasy under the photographers flash. Next I applied Hour Glass Mineral Veil Primer to her t-zone to add staying power to the makeup. Then I filled in her eyebrows with Armani Blonde Eyebrow Pencil.
For the eyes, I used a white cream from the Make Up For Ever Flash Color Palette Multi-use Cream Color Palette on the lid. After, I applied a pigment shadow on top and the white from under illuminated the shadow. You can also use a very light concealer. I used NARS taupe shadow, Blondie, in the crease to add depth to the eye.  Then I applied MAC Museum Bronze Pigment to the center of the lid and blended out to cover the entire eyelid. I applied Make Up For Ever Gold loose Powder with a wet brush to the very inner corners of the eye. Then I created a cat like eyeliner in brown (softer than black with Christina’s light and delicate coloring) using Cat Von D Tattoo liner. Followed by Black Mascara from KIKO and on cheeks I applied NARS ‘Spring Color’ Blush ‑ Impassioned. Lastly, for the lips I used Sacha Red Light District Lipstick.
