Looking for your own "CHEERS" but with an organic twist? Then have a seat and look no further...Venice Ale House located on the infamous beach front boardwalk of Venice, California since 2010 was the first of 3 dining hotspots that restaurateurs Thomas Elliott & Spoon Singh opened together. An organic gastropub serving over 30 craft beers on tap as well local California wines and a full menu of organic and sustainable food that according to their loyal customers is “really, really good!”
They also own Bank of Venice, formally a bank over 108 years ago, (keeping the name:) This dynamic duo tapped Chef Jason Feehrer bringing a perfect blend of the Pacific Rim and the Pacific Northwest to Venice. Jason specializes in sustainable seafood and meats, all GMO, hormone and antibiotic free, but this is no froufrou cuisine. Expect hearty portions of Megan’s Meatloaf (prepared daily with Paso Prime grass-fed ground beef), Bangers and Mash (sausage courtesy of Neiman Ranch) and Mac & Cheese (with gluten-free noodles and 60-day raw, aged cheddar). YUM!!!!
About The Boys:
Thomas Elliott grew up in a small town in Colorado with his mother being the only one making granola and organic yogurt. In the 90's Elliot launched his own production company, Fresh Produce Media, Inc to pursue his passion for documentary film and music. He won several awards with a very successful run on the Documentary Channel but he felt a pull towards something organic. Elliott joined Rawesome, the raw, organic food co-op in Venice, and his eating lifestyle changed forever. Having become a major advocate for the fast-growing sustainable food movement in California, Elliott started Wild Pacific Fish Company to supply sustainable seafood to sushi bars in Los Angeles.
Spoon Singh was raised in India, Oregon and California with an environmentally aware family with a deep appreciation for quality and healthy foods. He worked in the family business Kettle Foods where he learned about making healthy foods to an increasingly discerning public. In 1994, Spoon moved to Hawaii where his dream to open a brewery featuring local brews and good food was born. The Kona Brewing Company has been billed as the 14th largest and fastest growing microbrewery in the USA.
And then there is....Austin Ale House located in Austin, Texas. Organic Texas style food with music!
But wait...Tom and Spoon aren't finished quite yet!!! Drum roll please....Coming soon to Main Street in Santa Monica, California is Fork in The Road, a Mediterranean cuisine meets wood fired pizza!
