It’s been a while since we’ve shared the scoop from the red carpet on which celebs are loving beth bender beauty and her Get in Line Eyeliner Kit. So here we go………..On Sunday The Sisters attended and covered The Hollywood Breakthrough Awards in Hollywood.

It was a crazy night filled with lots of celebrities, media, and press all vying for a key spot on the Red Carpet, but it was the sisters who worked the room and managed to prop themselves right next to US Weekly, People Magazine, and Access Hollywood, charming every star who passed by, and later getting the ladies to each give a quote on the Get in line Kit and beth bender beauty.

Sofia Vergara, from Modern Family who was there to accept an award was stunning as usual. Not only is she gorgeous but she is the sweetest woman evah!! She loves makeup and the girls could have talked for hours, but time was precious since everyone wanted a piece of her. When they asked her what her favorite eyeliner kit was, without skipping a beat, she said and we quote in her sexy, latin accent, “come on girls, are you kidding me? I don’t go anywhere without my Get in Line Eyeliner Kit. I use it for lining and doing my cat eyes almost everyday. It is the best!”.  You heard it here first.

Dianna Agron from the hit show Glee was also there, and could not have been sweeter. Her Publicist, not so sweet but that didn’t stop the sisters from getting the scoop on her favorite beauty “can’t live without products”. She told the girls she is “in love with her SGB Smoky Eyeshadow Kit“ and was actually wearing the colors from the kit that night. They looked beautiful as you can see here in the pic above.

AnnaLynne McCord, of Beverly Hills 90210, and Rose Byrne of Damages were also there, and the sisters were able to speak with Rose Byrne during the cocktail party. She was wearing a beautiful red lip color, and with barely there makeup, her skin looked flawless. She told the girls her favorite beth bender beauty products were The Strip Lip gloss in red and her Get in Line Eyeliner Kit in SGB and Camille. According to Rose, the makeup artist on the show fell in love with the line and now she uses as part of her makeup kit. Very cool…

Who knew that a night filled with so many stars would also be filled with so many fans of beth bender beauty. Just another fabulous night in Hollywood!

There is only one day a year where we get to celebrate our life on earth and Te-see calls it her “all about me day,” aka, her birthday.  The one day she claims her kids come second!!! Yeah, right!  Friday night, April 16, 2010, Beauty Style Watch and their fabulous friends headed over to Lucy’s 51 in Toluca Lake their favorite watering hole.

Te-see, (bsw editor and vp of marketing) had a fun filled evening with friends drinking delicious peach martinis and eating sweet potato fries and spinach dip.  “It’s been a hell of a ride, Te-see told local reporters from the LA Times.  But Beth and I have worked very hard the past year and a half to get our site where it is today.  We started back in December 2008 with only 2,000 hits a month and now we are up to 1 million plus a month.” So, I guess you could say Te-see had a lot to celebrate.

Te-see looked lovely in her purple top from H&M and her Paige Jeans.  To get Te-see’s look, her sister Beth used the dark amber color from her SGB Kit to rim her entire eye then applied black shadow from her original kit on Te-see’s lash line.   Beth followed with 2 coats of Jane Iredale’s mascara, and Oxygenetix foundation for a smooth and flawless finish.

What an incredible night for Te-see.  She was surrounded by people she loves.  According to Te-see, “life couldn’t get any better!”

Spring is finally here, and it’s time to talk about makeup. I met with Beth Bender, Creative Director of beth bender beauty, and one very busy makeup artist on both coasts. When she isn’t running from job to job, she is creating most of the beauty products on her site, and in between that, running BeautyStyleWatch with her sister Te-see. Whoa, even I’m tired just talking about her busy schedule!

Beth suggested I stop by the office she shares with Te-see to talk about the trends for spring beauty, and get the scoop on how to update your look without spending a fortune.  “Since the climate is getting a little warmer each day, your makeup for spring should be lighter. Change your color palette to softer shades, like pale pinks, light to medium bronze tones, soft purple hues, or even a soft taupe.” But before you feel like you have to replace everything in your makeup collection, Beth suggests trying these tricks, and use what you already have in a new way.

For lipstick: “Dark wintery colors can become sheer just by adding some  lip balm,” she says. Use your hand as a palette to mix the shade (like a purple- burgundy or red wine) with a lip balm or gloss to create a sheer wash of color. Then just apply it with a finger or use a lip brush.

Matte or shimmer eye shadows: “To create a cream shadow from a powder you can mix it with a little moisturizer,” says Bender. “Use three parts shadow and one part moisturizer. The formula should feel creamy, but not wet,” she says. You can also add a lighter shade in ivory, white, or beige to the mix if you desire a lighter look.

For the face: If you like full foundation coverage in the winter and don’t feel like buying a tinted moisturizer for spring, simply add your moisturizer, or SPF moisturizer to your current base. “This is one of my favorite ways to create a beautiful dewy look, and a much more sheer effect,” says Beth.

The famous smoky eyes: I don’t know about you but I love smoky eyes all year round. Day or night doesn’t matter, I just love them! Beth Bender cornered the smoky eye market several years ago with her Get in Line Eyeliner Kit and Stencils, and made smoky eyes even easier than ever. For spring and summer eyes, Beth says you can tweak them by adding some color, like a violet, lilac, or a pink (with brown undertones), instead of a charcoal or black. Shimmer works well too say Beth.

Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara is one hot mama who has an 18 year old son.  She recently met up with BSW at a celebrity event and gave us her personal insight to beauty…

We asked Sofia our BSW staple question…What is the one beauty item you can’t live without? Sofia’s answer, “La Mer, for my body and face. It keeps my skin soft and supple.” Sofia also mentioned how much she loves our resident makeup artist Beth Bender’s “get in line kit.” She uses it every day to get her perfect cat eye.  And the one item Sofia never leaves her house wearing is lipstick…this girl won’t even go to the gym without it…lol:)

New York Fashion Week is winding down, but not without a few celebrity sightings and their beth bender beauty ‘must haves’, like Demi Moore who thanks to her manager, loves her Red Carpet Beauty On The Go Pouch, which made it’s Red Carpet debut for the movie premiere of Valentines Day, and then off to New York for fashion week. Naomi Watts and Kate Bosworth were among the A-list actresses who lined the front row at the Calvin Klein show. Once the lights went up, both ladies made a quick beauty and wardrobe change before heading to the label’s after-party to celebrate the close of Fashion Week. Kate used her Get in Line Eyeliner kit to add a little more liner, and Naomi freshened up her face with ‘My Secret Weapon’ Luminizer in Pink Shimmer.

We know what it’s like to be in a beauty rut, but thanks to all of the beautiful looks seen at this weeks Fall Fashion Shows in New York, we have been inspired once again to try something different. If you’re not sure about what to do, then why not take a cue from Jessica Stroup, one of the many celebs who attended Fashion Week, and showed up with what we like to call a “smoky-cat eye”.

Celebrity artist beth bender, Creative Director of beth bender beauty suggests that instead of keeping eye shadow on your lids only, why not do a smoky-cat eye. You get the benefit of a sultry look, with a sexy winged cat liner that instantly elongates the eyes.

Of course the quickest and easiest way to achieve a thick smoky-cat eye look is to use an eyeliner stencil. The stencil allows you to make the cat eye as thick as you like depending on how high you hold it over the eye, and by using a medium size brush you will ensure the perfect application. Try to aim for the tail of the cat eye shape to line up with the outer edge of your eye brow. Finish by blending eye shadow within the outline, and add black liner along the lashline for an entirely new look.
