The Get in Line Eyeliner Kit in SGB. As seen in the new LG Dare commercial

Check out the new Verizon spot with the hot chick on the ledge. Notice anything about her eyes?..
We thought you might. Yes she’s wearing the SGB Kit with some help from the original Get in Line palette. Don’t they look ultra, ultra, sexy and sooo easy to do.
We started by adding a layer of Indian Brown from the original palette as a base and finishing with a bit of Golden tan & Deep Bronze from the SGB palette for a perfect summer look. The skin was left slightly on the dewy side with a touch of MAC bronzer and her lips were kept neutral with some Chasing the Cash Liquid Lip Glaze.
We’re wearing ours today. Are you wearing yours?

It seems as though SEXY EYES and the Get in Line Eyeliner Kit in SGB and OMG! made quite the stir on Friday during a shoot for an upcoming episode of Californication. Apparently our sweet assistant was so mesmerized with David Duchovny that she forgot to leave enough kits to go around, and with only four make-up artists to do almost 75 extras, some gals didn’t think they were going to get their smoky eyes. Poor babies.
That was until one of the artists whipped out her smoky eye stencils from her own kits and started banging out sexy smoky eyes on every girl one after the other. Between her stencils and these three kits (also with stencils) they managed to get each little lady done and still have time to get them back on set. Now that’s what I call one quick smoky eye.

OLIVIA WILDE GIVES US BEAUTIFUL EYES FOR SPRING

SPRING IS IN THE AIR and to prove it check out Olivia Wilde’s gorgeous eyes in shades of plums and Lavenders. What a refreshing alternative to the dark smoky eyes we have been seeing so much of. Get Olivia’s look by mixing a Lavender and deep Plum shimmer shadow together and then applying to the eyelid and up into the crease of eye as seen here. Try Eye Dusts in Lilly and All About Me, $16 and both from beth bender beauty. Line the eyes with a smudge proof gel eyeliner in black, try Onyx Stay Put Gel Liner, $18 at beth bender beauty. Make sure to taper the liner as you get closer to the center of eye and keep it thicker at the ends as seen here on Olivia.
GET gorgeous brows like Olivia’s with Anastasia’s eyebrow stencils, Eyebrow tools and powders. Choose from a number of kits or just the stencils. They are so easy to use and really give you the best eyebrows.
FINISH the look with a bit of tinted moisturizer to even out the complexion before giving your cheeks a pop of blush with Desert Rose Powder Blush, $20 at bobbibrown.com. Try Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer, $42 at lauramercier.com. It gives your skin a healthy glow and deposits just the right amount of color without looking heavy.
PUCKER UP with Creamy Lip Color in Crystal Pink, $22 at bobbibrown.com and for extra, extra shine add a layer of Crush Liquid Lip Glaze, $16 at bethbenderbeauty.com.
YEAH BABY now you’re stylin’ for Spring!
xoxo,
B

STILA’S TALKING SMOKY EYE PALETTE

I am a big fan of Stila and have always loved their products. There are a lot of beauty companies that have kits to help you to create perfect smoky eyes but this smoky eye kit actually gives you step by step instructions while you are doing a smoky eye. I love the colors in each of the kits and agree that it is definitely the next best thing along with the Get in Line Eyeliner and Stencil Kit, especially if you don’t have the luxury of a makeup artist on hand to do it for you. This kit paired with the Get in Line Smoky eye stencils in the Travel Set and you’ll be sporting sexy smoky eyes in no time baby.

BEAUTY WATCH – THE SAG AWARDS
These Hollywood celebs looked beautiful and who can blame them with the Golden Globes being cancelled. They needed a reason to get gorgeous and gorgeous they were! Some of my favorites were Angelina Jolie, Andrea Bowen from Desperate Housewives and Marion Cotillard from La Vie En Rose. Make up artists and hair stylists worked overtime to get these ladies to the red carpet on time.

Andrea Bowen looked beautiful with her hair swept up and away from her face. Her make up was flawless and her perfectly groomed brows and sultry smoky eyes took front and center.
To get Andrea’s look start with the eyes first. Andrea went for a more dramatic smoky eye using colors in brown and amber shimmers. Her eyes were lined top and bottom with a black gel eyeliner and set with a bit of shadow for a softer look.
Start by applying color to the entire eyelid area with an eyeshadow brush and blending into the crease as seen here. If you have a Get in Line Eyeliner and Stencil Kit you can use the smoky eye template to create the shape before blending into the crease of eye. Don’t worry about concealer until the eyes are finished. I like to mix both colors before applying to the eye. Try Brown Sugar and Ambra Eye Dust, $16 at bettesboutique.com.
To finish the smoky eyes, with an eyeshadow brush apply a lighter shade to the brow bone making sure to blend color well. A great base color for this is Bobbi Brown’s Champagne Shimmer Wash Eyeshadow, $19 at Bobbi Brown.
Next take your black gel eyeliner and with a tapered or straight edge eyeliner brush carefully tap into the lash line as you line the eye. Extend the line out as seen here on Andrea and finish by lining underneath so that both bottom and top liner meet at the outer eye. As you get closer to the center of eye start to make the line thinner and blend into lash line.
Take a bit of Ambra eye dust with an eyeshadow brush and sweep under the eye to soften the line and give it a more dramatic look. Our new favorite mascara is Fiberwig but a good black mascara will do just fine. Add two coats and make sure to coat each lash for maximum lash appeal.
Clean up any mess underneath the eyes with a bit of eye cream and a Q-tip. Then apply concealer. For a flawless face add a bit of tinted moisturizer or a water based foundation. Use a sponge for more coverage and a brush for a more sheer finish. Try Vincent Longo’s Light Canvas Tinted Moisturizer, $38 or his Liquid Canvas Dew Finish Foundation, $48.50 both fabulous and available at vincentlongo.com.
On the cheeks a little cream blush in either a pink or peach tone adds just the right amount of color without over doing it. Try Kitty or Blushing Bride, $18 and both from bethbenderbeauty.com.
Stick to a light shade on the lips as well. Try Afterglow Lip Enhancing Gloss, $18 from Smashbox Cosmetics. It’s the perfect combination of a pink/peach gloss and has great shine.
Now go get your celeb look on ladies! Stay tuned for more SAG Award Celeb looks.
xoxo,
B

I love the Smoky eyes on this model. It’s very Studio 54 and her make-up is beautiful. Of course the shot has been photo shopped to death but her eyes are just so sexy. Love how the eyeliner bleeds into the corner of her eyes and let’s not forget those lashes. Wanna know how to get these gorgeous smoky eyes? We suggest the using the Get in Line Eyeliner and Stencil kit which gives you sexy eyes in minutes.
The last time I saw lashes like that was on my four year old nephew. Just remember to blend, blend, blend in the crease of your eyes and use a lighter color in the corner like they have here and blend up into the center of eye. Highlight the brow bone with the same light shade or a shimmer. To get a perfect line underneath use the smoky eye stencil and place under your eye along your lash line. With your eye shadow brush sweep a bit of color along the stencil and remove. To soften go over with eye shadow brush.
Repeat on the other eye and do the same for your top eye liner. Add a little concealer, set with a powder and finish with lots of mascara.
Click on this link http://youtube.com/watch?v=9as0gORqhQI to check out a video using the smoky eye stencil from the Get in Line Kit and see how you can create smoky eyes retro style with ease.
xoxo,
Beth
