Katy Perry’s eyes took center stage at the premiere of Arthur in London. There to support her husband, and always the camera ready celeb. Known for her elaborate makeup looks, her two-toned eyes were much more subtle than usual, but we thought just as pretty.

To try a similar look on yourself and create eyes that are elegant as well as edgy, using two different shadows that compliment each other, apply to the top lid and the bottom lashline. Here, Katy opted for metallics, pairing a gunmetal and bronze. Plum and slate, violet and navy, and eggplant and gunmetal or bronze, would also work.

Vanessa Hudgen’s Spring Smoky Eye Makeup is a hit!

Posted by The Girls in the BSW Beauty Dept. on 28th March 2011

Vanessa Hudgen’s was right in step with the official first week of spring at the premiere of Sucker Punch in Los Angeles. Her makeup was fresh, and looked beautiful.

A swipe of a rose-gold shadow on the eyelid worked perfectly with the orange tones in Vanessa’s lipstick; and a dusting of a shimmery beige shadow on the inner corners of her eyes added brightness. Sometimes the neutrals colors like gray, brown, and black can feel a bit dreary this time of year, especially when we are all wishing for warmer weather. Instead, why not experiment with unexpected color combination’s that have uplifting results, like the the Rock Star Smoky Eye Kit in Kiss The Sky.
