Sexy smoky eyes rule.More sexy eyes could be seen on DWTS last night on ABC.  Cheryl Burke and Edyta Sliwinska each were sporting gorgeous eyes thanks to our good friend and artist to the stars Nani, who was once again on hand to work her magic.

Using her Get in Line palette in NFW on Edyta she did the most beautiful smoky eyes evah! She is so stunning to begin with but my god those eyes were just gorgeous. On Cheryl she used the SGB for a sunkissed smoky eye. Of course she didn’t leave without making sure that the ladies had some goodies for later on.

I SPY BETH BENDER BEAUTY Sheryl Crow and son Wyatt doing a little shopping in Santa Monica. Our Beauty spies tell us she stopped to give her lips a little shine before heading into Peets Coffee for a little pick me up. Her color you ask? Kiss this Guy Liquid lip glaze. SEEN Nicole Richie at an event in Beverly Hills for Prada. This little mama looks gorgeous since giving birth to her beautiful baby Harlow. Her style is unique and her shoe collection is something to see. As tiny as she is she can strut her stuff like the best of them. Every few months our friend Jay and fellow artist stops in LA on his way to New York and pops by some of the sets to drop off some beauty products. This was one of my favorite looks for hair, make up and wardrobe. Marion looked absolutely stunning in this Jean Paul Gaultier gown. She stood out amongst many of the starlets that night with her gorgeous cat eyes and cascades of sexy loose curls that framed her beautiful face.

To get Marion’s cat eyes start by adding some color to the eyelids first using a silver shimmer shadow. Try Vincent Longo’s Eye Shimmer Souffle in Pavlova, $24 at vincentlongo.com. As we continue our celebration on beauty and get ready for tonight’s Academy Awards  here is another favorite of ours, the always beautiful Alicia Keys. I SPY MORE BETH BENDER BEAUTY

Seen Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman at the Berlin Movie Festival for the premiere of their new movie The Other Boelyn Girl. Both looking simply beautiful and each doing their own version of a sultry smoky eye. Natalie in shades of bronze using Ginger and Ambra eye dust and Scarlett using her Get in Line Kit and adding a bit of Bellatrix and Double-O-Silver for some serious shimmer.

Glowing from head to toe. Our beauty spies tell us she was Seen in the ladies lounge putting on a little Mimilicious glam gloss and adding some extra sizzle to her eyes with a touch of Zsa Zsa eye dust that she applied with her fingers.

Lucy Liu also at the same event looking gorgeous with her sexy do and strapless dress. Getting her perfect pout of pinkness with Tallulah High Shine Gloss, the newest lip color from beth bender beauty. Our beauty spies watched as she did her lips while in the midst of a conversation with another guest. Now that is what I call multi tasking.

Smoky eyes when overdone can sometimes become overpowering as in the case of Hayden Panettiere and Sharon Stone, see here sporting smoky eyes some might call raccoon eyes.

To avoid this look make sure to only apply eyeshadow onto the eyelid and blend into the crease of eye so that the color is slightly above the crease. Do not apply a dark color into the corner of eye and high above the crease as seen here on Sharon Stone. Instead use a lighter shade and blend with the darker color for a more polished look.

Avoid heavy thick eyeliner around the entire eye. Instead line the eyes so that the outer part of the eye is thickest and becomes more tapered as you get closer to the inner corner of eye, as seen here below on Hilary Duff.

If you’re using a Gel eyeliner or pencil to line the eyes you can set the color with an eyeshadow of the same color or a lighter shade.
