After the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were gifted with a Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) Land Rover for their April 29 wedding, they knew just what to do with it: Donate!
Prince William and Duchess Kate, both 29, passed on the vehicle to MREW (Mountain Rescue England and Wales) — which then held a drawing at Clarence House with Prince Harry selecting the winner (among 26 possible rescue teams) out of a helmet.
That winner — the Patterdale team in the Lake District, then gifted the wheels to the Glossop Mountain Rescue Team.
“The vehicle will be greatly appreciated,” Keith Montgomery, honorary secretary of Glossop Mountain Rescue Team, said in a statement. “Our present vehicle only has a shelf life of about six months and we were embarking on a major fundraising exercise to raise more than £45,000 to replace it.”

A few things I’m currently using from MAC includes the Prep + Prime Lash Serum, the Fortified Skin Enhancer and the compact version of the amazing Prep + Prime translucent powder. Let’s take a closer look…
The Lash Enhancer has a fantastic smooth and small applicator brush which does an A+ job of lining the top lashes. I apply this before bed every night. My lashes do look thicker which is what I’m after. Long, thick lashes that grow while I sleep. This doesn’t irritate my eyes at all and a small amount is all that’s needed.
The Fortified Skin Enhancer contains an spf 35 and is a light primer that adds a bit of radiance to skin. I use just a dot of this by my eyes, where I feel that I need the most help, dark circles and shadows are brightened instantly but not obviously. And makeup is all about the whisper of beauty, if you get my drift. Subtle!
I cannot rave enough about the Prep + Prime compact. True story, I put the original Prep + Prime translucent loose powder in a small, very small, container and it looked just like cocaine (or what I imagine it to look like). While traveling, I was nervous it would be snatched from the security check, being mistaken for something else, and I’d lose my powder! Luckily everything was safe and I got to travel with my beloved powder. The only thing you have to worry about with the compact is bringing your own sponge or brush for application as it does not come with one.

At the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, select stars were getting cuffed — in blinged-out bangles!
Kim Kardashian dazzled in a Kaufman Franco gown and matching silver and diamond bracelet on her left wrist, which only enhanced her 20.5 carat engagement rock and 16.5-carat wedding band.
Zoe Saldana and Selena Gomez both donned sparkling cuffs by jewelry designer Ofira. The Colombiana actress shined in a black, plunging neckline mini by Barbara Bui while the “I Love You Like a Love Song” singer oozed dark glamour in a Julien Macdonald dress that featured a sexy, sheer back.

Ryan Reynolds on his way to Sandra Bullock's
To Sandra’s house he goes!
Ryan Reynolds was all decked out in sexy motorcycle gear on Saturday as he rode his pricey Ducati to visit the Hollywood home of a very special pal: Sandra Bullock.
The actor, 34, and his Proposal costar, 47, have been joined at the hip lately — spending the weekend of Aug. 13 together in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where Bullock’s dad has a home.
Joining the twosome for a hike in Grand Teton Park and other Wyoming adventures, of course, was Louis, Bullock’s adorable 19-month-old son. The recently divorced actor “loves spending time with Louis,” one insider tells BSW Buzz.
But Louis stayed behind when his mommy and Reynolds had a two-hour, one-on-one dinner at Rendezvous Bistro the night of Aug. 13.
But don’t get the wrong idea, necessarily. “They were having fun,” one restaurant witness tells BSW. “They acted like good friends.”
Still, though a second insider cautions the pals are “not romantic,” another adds: “He’s figuring out what he wants for himself relationship-wise.”

To get the look we asked celebrity makeup artist Beth Bender to share her tips. “Mixing crème and powder shadows is the key to achieving the perfect consistency.” After gliding a golden brown shade over the center eyelid to add warmth, finish with black pencil and line along the lashline. Finish with individual false lashes and a coat of black mascara,” says Bender.

Is Katie Holmes thinking about getting inked?

The 32-year-old Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark actress sported a double chain tattoo outside Digital Domain Studios in Marina Del Ray, Calif. Wednesday, prompting speculation that she may have gotten her first tattoo.
But according to Holmes’ rep, the actress’ new body art isn’t permanent. “It’s just for fun,” her rep tells BSW Buzz.
Perhaps this is Holmes’ way of testing out a new image. She first began shedding her good girl reputation when she appeared on the August cover of Vogue Espana, where Holmes showed off her kinky side in a skintight black lace Lanvin dress and a leather dominatrix hat.

Yes, stop everything and look at this eye makeup look on JoAnna Garcia. Seriously people! How can you miss these super, sexy eyes from any distance.
What we have here are eyes lined with a dark Burgundy, almost eggplant color, but the line is very precise and is applied around the entire eye, top and bottom. The liner is thicker towards the outer eye area which definitely makes this look stand out. For added drama there is a black eyeliner on her inner rims, and to finish a gold shimmer shadow swept across her top lids as well as underneath her eyes.
The gold softens up the rich purple so nothing looks heavy, but she’s still all sultry and smoldering. Plus, the colors really make her green eyes pop.
Don’t you love the combo? If so, you can use the HRH smoky eye kit, or as the Brits like to call it Her Royal Highness to re-create her look. It comes with a beautiful dark eggplant, golden-beige, and bronze shimmer shadow.
