Celebrity Designer Vera Wang Poses For Harpers Bazaar

It seems lately that more ‘mature’ women are in better shape then the gals half their age! Check out Vera Wang, designer of the billion dollar wedding dress looking amazing at 63 years old!

Wang posed in a black swimsuit for the February issue of Harper’s Bazaar. Hard to believe that this famous designer is 63…Still, she admitted she wasn’t quite comfortable baring her body for the cameras. “Ask anyone who’s traveled with me. Normally, I’m in so many layers, I look like Lawrence of Arabia,” she said. When asked if she liked how she looked, she said, “No, honey, I’m a little horrified.”

Wang opened up her four bedroom Beverly Hills home, to show how she decorated it. She has spent most of her life in New York. “It’s a zen escape,” she explained. “New York for me is about work. If L.A. were to become a West Coast version of that, I’d shoot myself. The climate, the lifestyle, it really fits as the yin to my New York yang.”

Her house was built in 1967 and has an amazing view of the Los Angeles Basin and the Pacific Ocean. After staying in so many hotels while in California, it was a great relief to her to find a home of her own. “It’s difficult to relax in a hotel lobby, not knowing who you’re going to bump into,” says Wang. “And no matter how great a suite is, after a while you start to go a little psycho.”

Spring Fashion Trend Is Calling For Bold Graphic Prints

Bold, graphic prints will be showing up on frocks, jackets and skirts galore this Spring. Designer Marni has an excellent rendition of these by covering dresses in gigantic geometric circles and sharp, angular stripes. Much to our surprise, Carven also has a slew of bright, zig zag prints for Spring that look as though they have been clipped straight out of a comic book.

We think the whole Missoni for Target craze got these designers on this graphic print bandwagon. Or perhaps they experienced a sudden jolt of nostalgia and decided to whip out their 6th grade protractors and went on an angle-making frenzy. What ever the reason, the BSW Fashionistas believe that these outrageous, colorful graphic prints are going to be a big spirit lifter after months of cold rain, snow and gray skies…

How does a 10 year old who never modeled in her life land a HUGE campaign like Kids Versace…???! It’s called nepotism…Kaia Gerber, like supermodel mom Cindy Crawford, has jumped into it!

Kaia Gerber beat her mother into the fashion industry by several years. She has her mother’s flowing brunette locks minus the famous mole…It was written that Cindy was “All American looking,” in a recent article…We beg to differ…She was more exotic and European looking back in the 80′s, which is why she took off! America was tired of that look and was screaming for something different.

At 17 years old, Crawford was discovered in Chicago where she grew up. She had her first Vogue cover three years later, then went on to become one of the world’s most successful models. Crawford was a muse of Gianni Versace, and the slain designer’s sister, Donatella, said “Kaia is well on her way to making her own mark. Like her mother, Kaia has a very special gift,” Versace said in a statement. “The camera really, really loves her.”

Crawford has two kids with restaurant owner Rande Gerber. She enjoyed watching her daughter on the set. “I am so proud of her,” she said. Funny, back in 2010, when Crawford told talk show host Rachael Ray that Kaia talked about modeling before she became a dancer, singer or teacher, she didn’t sound so enthusiastic about the modeling aspect…I guess things change when your former employee wants your daughter to take your place…

“Hopefully I can keep her away from it for a little while,” she said at the time. HA!

Every closet should have at least one black blazer or black cashmere cardigan. Perfect for throwing over any casual outfit in a pinch! Don’t fret about changing your comfy jeans! This will actually give your day look a bit of an upscale boost! If you had on low heels during the day, try for a bit higher. Makes the legs look slimmer and sexier for night. (works for daytime too if you are feeling a little frisky)

Simple Black Blazer every closet should own!

Now go find a silk scarf that has a bit of color, swirl it completely around your neck then tie it into a soft knot either at the front or side of your neck. Add a bit of red color lipstick to your lips, maybe a few bangles arouund your wrists and you are good to go!

Fashion Update: Wedding Gown Designed For Twilight’s Breaking Dawn Part I Now Available To The Public

Now anyone can have a “Twilight” wedding. An official replica of the romantic, long-sleeved gown Bella Swan wears to marry Edward in the film “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1” is now being sold for $799 at Alfred Angelo stores nationwide, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.

The lace-backed gown echoes the one Carolina Herrera designed for Kristen Stewart to wear during the much-anticipated wedding scene. The replica boasts “a dramatic plunging cut-out illusion back detailed with a soft Chantilly-inspired lace appliqué trim and full-length lace trimmed sleeves, self-fabric-covered buttons and a Chapel train,” according to a press release.

The dress, officially sanctioned back in May by Summit Entertainment, wasn’t easy to keep under wraps. In fact, designer Michael Shettel told WSJ that the confidentiality agreement and plan to have the gown ready by the November film premiere was “signed in blood.” (that’s creepy…)

While the dress that Bella wears is silk, the “Twilight Bridal” version by Alfred Angelo is made of satin.

For the younger gals who aren’t quite ready to walk down the aisle there’s also a Prom 2012 Romantic Vampire Collection in gothic-inspired colors and silhouettes.

The gowns, available in sizes 0 to 30W, will be available in Alfred Angelo Signature Stores and independent retailers worldwide.

Reese Witherspoon Gives Up Her Illegal $3,280 Python Bag

Who wants to take Reese Witherspoon shopping for a new purse?

At the insistence of PETA, the 35-year-old Oscar winner has hung up her Chloe purse for good. The python handbag, called the Paraty, retails for $3,820 on Net-a-Porter.

After Witherspoon was seen toting the bag around L.A., PETA sent her a video (ironically narrated by her Walk the Line costar Joaquin Phoenix) that highlighted the cruel methods used in the exotic-skins industry.

“We’ve long known Reese to be a kind person, so we’re pleased — and not surprised — that she is hanging up her python bag for good,” PETA told Gossip Cop in a statement. “We hope Reese’s honest mistake will serve as a reminder for all of us to be extra-certain that what we’re buying is mock croc or fake snake.”

PETA later sent Witherspoon flowers after she vowed never to carry the purse again.

Where and how the Water for Elephants star got the Chloe bag remains a mystery: California banned the sale of snakeskin in 1970.

Exclusive Sneak Peek: See Heidi Klum’s Crazy Costume for Halloween 2011 !

For Heidi Klum, it’s the most wonderful time of the year: Halloween!

The 38-year-old supermodel, Project Runway host and married mother of four has been throwing over-the-top Halloween bashes for years — attending the wild masquerades with mind-blowing costumes of her own. Definitely the party to go to in Hollywood!

How will Klum (who has morphed into a Transformers-esque “alien robot,” a scary Indian goddess, a kittykat and more) transform this year?

Us Weekly has the exclusive first look at Klum putting the final touches on her 2011 getup, which she’s set to don at an Oct. 31 wing-ding at PH-D Rooftop Lounge sponsored by HobNob Wines.

And, judging by Klum’s not-yet-completed ensemble, it looks like she’s monkeying around!

Before next Monday’s PH-D bash, Klum’s Halloween festivities begin Saturday in Las Vegas, where she’ll host a fete at TAO Nightclub at the Venetian.

No word yet on what Klum’s husband Seal, 48, will don this year by his wife’s side — or what their brood of four kids will do.

One thing for certain? “They love it!” Klum told the magazine last Halloween. “If it was up to them, we’d go to a pumpkin patch everyday, and they would wear costumes everyday. They would keep the spiders, hanging in our house for the rest of the year. They just love it!”

Well we think your a hoot too Heidi! See you on the 31st!
