The pastel colors we used to frame Taylor’s eyes were really a reflection of the gorgeous palette and beading of her Elie Saab gown.

I started her eyes by brushing on COVERGIRL Eye Enhancers 1-Kit in French Vanilla from her lash line to the crease and in the inner corners of her eyes. From the crease to just below the brow bone, I used Knock Out Pink, which really sets off Taylor’s blue eyes. I used a little COVERGIRL LiquilineBlast Eyeliner in Black Fire to line the upper lash line and finished the eyes with LashBlast Volume Mascara.

To perfect Taylor’s already smooth complexion, I used COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation and a touch of Cheekers Blush in Plumberry Glow on her cheeks.

To finish Taylor’s Billboard Awards look, I used COVERGIRL LipPerfection lipcolor in Tempt. It’s a gorgeous vibrant pink–perfect for spring and summer.

“I wanted to really play up Hilary’s eyes and I used her gorgeous Gucci Premiere couture dress with beautiful shades of grey and satin as my color inspiration,” shared makeup artist Monika Blunder.

To create the soft but colorful eye look, I blended silvery colors across the eye and then opened up the eyes by using COVERGIRL LiquilineBlast in Silver Spark<http://www.covergirl.com/beauty-products/eye-makeup/eye-liner/liquilineblast-eyeliner> close to the top and bottom lash line. To complement Hilary’s eyes, I created a matte, flawless face and peachy cheeks for an overall soft look. I used a feathered blush brush to apply COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Sculpting Blush in Plush Peach<http://www.covergirl.com/beauty-products/face-makeup/blush/simply-ageless-sculpting-blush> in a circular motion to the apples of the cheeks. I wanted to create an old-hollywood glamour look inspired by Sophia Loren and Sofia’s gorgeous black dress

For her eyes I applied a beige shadow on the lid and brown shadow in the crease then lined the top with COVERGIRL Line Exact in Black for added drama. On the bottom I lined her eyes with COVERGIRL LiquiLineBlast in Brown Blaze and finished the eyes with multiple coats of LashBlast Mascara in Black.

We wanted to keep Sofia’s skin fresh and dewy so I applied COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation in Nutmeg for a flawless finish and added COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Sculpting Blush in Plush Peach to give her a natural glow.

I finished her look with a pink/beige lip using COVERGIRL LipPerfection lipcolor in Rush.

For Brooklyn, I used COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation in Alabaster as a foundation, concealer and a highlighter. Then, I softened the apples of her cheeks by applying COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Sculpting Blush in Lush Berry, and created a nice contour under her cheekbones with COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Sculpting Blush in Royal Plum.

On her eyes, I used COVERGIRL Smoky ShadowBlast in Silver Sky and Purple Plume. Then, I lined her eyes with COVERGIRL LiquiLineBlast in Black Fire on the upper lash line and COVERGIRL LiquiLineBlast in Silver Spark on the lower lash line. I brushed on multiple coats of COVERGIRL Lashblast Fusion mascara!

On her lips, I started with COVERGIRL LipPerfection lipliner in Pink Radiant and then dabbed COVERGIRL LipPerfection lipcolor in Darling. I finished the lip look with the soft COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Gloss Balm in Tulip.

Sunday, February 27, 2011, Dove sponsored a “Red Carpet Beauty” party with The Bender Sisters.  The girls gathered around the television with drinks in hand tweeting and facebooking about who made the grade and who didn’t…It’s all about the hair and what to wear!!!  If the hair doesn’t match the gown…girl…you’ve got problems!

The Bender Sisters and their friends were tweeting and fbing for 2 hours while the Celeb’s walked the Red Carpet…Te-see was busy making comments about the hair…Was it or wasn’t it “Dove Worthy…” There were many variations on buns this year…from loosely tied back to tightly pulled back, like a ballerina…But young Jennifer Lawrence, first time academy award nominee for her spectacular performance in Winter’s Bone, had her Dove hair down and sexy to match her simple yet flattering red gown.

-  “I asked Lea to arrive with soaking wet hair, to ensure we could get the dramatic middle part.  I used a drop of the Dove Nourishing Oil Care Serum and ran it throughout her hair.  I love this product because the unique blend of almond, coconut and mineral oils absorbs into the strand instantly to nourish and smooth the hair, creating a great base to begin styling.

- “To add texture, rake a pump of Dove Body & Lift Mousse throughout damp hair and blow dry five-inch sections with a round brush.

- “Spritz hair with the Dove Heat Defense Therapy Mist and separate into three sections.

- “I didn’t want beachy waves, so to achieve this defined, textured effect I curled the hair in opposing directions. I wrapped two to three inch sections of hair around a two-inch curling iron, alternating the curl direction both away and towards the face, while spraying the Dove Unscented Flexible Hold Hairspray with Natural Movement (Aerosol) to hold the wave.

- “I used a thick pomade to be sure the middle part stayed defined and Lea’s bangs did not peek out and rubbed a pea-size amount of the Dove Nourishing Oil Care Leave-In Smoothing Cream between my hands, and raked it through the ends of her hair to keep the shine and smooth flyaways.

-  “To finish the look I sprayed Lea’s hair with the Dove Unscented Extra Hold Hairspray with Natural Movement (Aerosol) and brushed the waves out. I love this product because it dries so quickly.  After brushing through it creates large, separated and defined waves with amazing hold.”

Katy wore an Armani Prive dress with a jewel encrusted bar and light-up angel wings. The inspiration for the beauty look was “Disco Angel” it was angelic, sparkly and ethereal. I wanted to play off the textures in the dress and wings.

For Katy’s multi-colored eye, I first applied the lavender shade of COVERGIRL Smoky ShadowBlast in Silver Sky all along the top lid from lashline to crease and blended with my fingertips. Cream shadows are great adhesive for glitter, which was perfect for applying Makeup For Ever Glitter on the lid by tapping it with my finger. I then applied COVERGIRL LiquiLineBlast in Green Glow along the lower water line and lower lashes and blended it with a small brush to smoke it out. I finished the eyes with 2 coats on top and bottom of COVERGIRL LashBlast Fusion in Black.

I first prepped her skin with NARS gentle cream cleanser and aqua gel hydrator. I love the aqua gel because it doesn’t make her skin greasy but keeps it moisturized. Katy’s face was flawless, polished skin set with a shimmery pink blush and then I dusted glitter on her cheekbones to add to the sparkle.

On her lips, I created a rich pink look with COVERGIRL LipPerfection lipcolor in Temptress for the red carpet and then changed it to a brighter berry pink/red for her performance using LipPerfection lipcolor in Tempt.

The inspiration for Selena’s makeup was to compliment the sensual champagne shade of her J.Mendel dress with a soft focus.

I started with Selena’s eyes. I first lined her upper and lower lashline with COVERGIRL LiquilineBlast eyeliner in Brown Blaze. I love how the liquid-like pencil blends so easily and that you can easily control its intensity. Using a medium eyeshadow brush I blended the light shade from the COVERGIRL Smoky ShadowBlast in Bronze Fire on the entire eyelid up to the eyebrow. I then took Step two, the darker shade,  and with a smaller eyeshadow brush, I blended the color above and below the eye as well as into the crease of the eyelid. I then used the COVERGIRL Eye Enhancers Eyeshadow in Brown Smolder on the outside corners of her upper eyelids to create more dimension and drew a thin line with a slight wing to the outer edges on the upper lash line using COVERGIRL LineExact Liquid liner in Very Black. I finished her eyes with two coats of COVERGIRL LashBlast Volume Mascara in Black.

For her skin, I used COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation to give her a flawless finish. To highlight the t-zone and highlight under the eyes I used the COVERGIRL CG Smoothers Concealer in medium. To set the base I used COVERGIRL TruBlend Pressed Powder in #2 Translucent Light with a soft brush. I then applied to the apples of the cheeks COVERGIRL Cheekers Blush in Pretty Peach.

I finished her look with COVERGIRL LipPerfection lipcolor in the bright gorgeous shade of Siren.

Amber went for an edgy rock and roll look for the 2011 Grammy’s. I was inspired by the silver and gold of her dress and jewelry so we smoked out her eyes taking a cue from those shades.

To start though, I used Black Up Primer so Amber’s makeup would last all night. We keep her skin fresh and dewy I used COVERGIRL Queen Collection Natural Hue Liquid Makeup and contoured with COVERGIRL Queen Collection Natural Hue Minerals Bronzer . For an all-over glow, I highlighted the apples of Amber’s cheeks, the bridge of her nose and browbone.

For Amber’s gold smoky eye I used two shades of COVERGIRL Smoky ShadowBlast in Bronze Fire and Onyx Smoke and defined with COVERGIRL LiquiLine Blast in Black Fire. For luscious lashes I used COVERGIRL LashBlast Volume Mascara in Very Black on Amber’s top and bottom lashes.

We kept Amber’s lips nude with COVERGIRL Queen Collection Lip Color in Nude Attitude and added COVERGIRL ShineBlast Lip Gloss in Gleam for brilliant shine.

I was inspired by Monica’s sleek black dress and wanted to create a sophisticated, sultry look.

I started with Black Up Primer to prep Monica’s skin and then usedCOVERGIRL Queen Collection Natural Hue Concealer and Compact Foundation for a flawless finish.

Bronzer is my everything! I used COVERGIRL Queen Collection Natural Hue Minerals Bronzer for contouring.

I kept Monica’s eyes a matte black and used COVERGIRL LiquiLine Blast in Black Fire for definition. We kept her lashes full with COVERGIRL LashBlast Volume Mascara in Very Black.

I used COVERGIRL Queen Collection Lip Color in South Beach Sand for a pinky nude lip and punched it up with COVERGIRL ShineBlast Lip Gloss in Gleam.

***A great tip to take away from both Amber and Monica’s looks, is that when going with a nude lip, it’s important to focus on flawless, contoured skin and a majorly defined eye. ***

I’m loving Gwen Stefani’s hair and makeup here. With her dark eye color, she can get away with that strong brow. Her trademark red lips gives the look a retro feel and her updo just completes the over all look, a modern take on 1960’s glamour. Love it!

For those deep red lips, try L’Oreal’s Infallible Lipcolor in Beyonce’s Red. For the brows, use VanityMark’s brow pencil in Dark Choco.

While I may not be wild about the fuzzy dress she’s wearing, Angelina Jolie is ravishing. Its her long dark hair that makes me rethink my ultra blonde locks. I wouldn’t mind being a brunette… if my hair looked like hers. And if I looked like her.

The slightly bronze smokey eye plus pinkish cheeks and lightly frosted lipstick compliments the winter white of her gown. And clearly, she invested in a good push-up bra!

To look exactly like Angelina, I  like the Sue Devitt eyeliner in Tanzania, its a great brown-bronze shade. For the lips, I recommend Lancome La Laque Fever in Optical Rose.
