I’ve been searching for just the right fragrance for winter. On and off I wear a musk from The Body Shop that I love, and often I wear Lavanila’s Vanilla Lavender perfume which offers just a hint of delicious fragrance. I lean towards light musk and florals, Heidi Klum’s Shine was a recently favorite.

Then, one morning I was listening to the radio and Ryan Seacrest commented on how amazing Nicole Scherzinger smelled when she came into the office. Again this week, he made the same comment about Nicole and the perfume she was wearing which happened to be Carnal Flower. I made a mental note. I had to try this!

Carnal Flower by Dominique Ropion

One spray and I was in love.  Here are the details: Made by Dominique Ropion for Frederic Malle Editions de Parfums, the scent features a high concentration of  tuberose. Dominique Ropion (he’s created several well-known luxurious perfumes) took eighteen months to come up with Carnal Flower.  That’s a lot of committment to delivering the perfect  scent with just the right balance of notes.

Besides the aforementioned Tuberose, other notes include Bergamot, Melon, Eucalyptus, Ylang Ylang, Salycilates, Jasmine, Orange Blossom, a trace of White Musks and absolute Coconut.

When I first apply this, I smell something very crisp and clean with a little floral background. Then, the crisp scent dries down and the luscious floral is left behind. I’m a fan of the scent lingering on the skin all day and this one is still detectable hours after I sprayed it. I want to wear Carnal Flower every day and night.

Beware, this is a pricey perfume and I am completely bummed that I cannot afford to buy myself a bottle. I will treasure my little sample though and enjoy every minute of wearing this fragrance! For more, please go here.
