It’s August and now the summer count down has begun.  All the stores are pushing “Back to School,” and Fall fashions are on every one’s minds…except mine, that is!  I’m not ready to put my sun dresses and comfy sandals away just yet.  Now is the time to get in all the summer activities you’ve been putting off!

Go camping with friends!

Get a group of close friends together, pack up your gear and head over to a local campsite for fun by the camp fire!  Google campsites in your area and pick one!  What a great way to enjoy each other, relax and feel like you are a pioneer!  Crack open a nice Merlot and bring your stress level down…

Run around in the ocean looking for sea life with your kids

The Beach is still a fun filled adventure for family and friends…Grab your SPF, hats, food, drinks, sand toys, beach towels and swim suits and breathe in the fresh sea air.  Best anti-aging secret around.  Being a kid again!  (I like to bring a good book…)

How about a little danger...

Bungee jumping will get your adrenaline going and give you a natural high.  You’ll soar to new heights as you continue to move up and down…This is safer then jumping out of a plane…I think!

Go hear some live music in a park...

I don’t know about you, but during the summer months I’m so busy running around in the heat my appetite kind of diminishes.  Not a good thing for a skinny gal like me…However, I love to make delicious pasta meals and cut up fresh fruit for my kids.  Check out this healthy but easy recipe I made last night!

To make my marinara sauce, I used 10 fresh tomatoes, basil, oregano, and Italian parsley, and fresh thinly sliced garlic all from our organic garden.  First I added 2 tablespoons of virgin olive oil to the pot, threw in my garlic (about 7 cloves)& chopped onion.  I let them cook a bit but not burn.  Then I crushed the tomatoes with my hands, threw in the fresh herbs and let it cook up to a boil.  Once it boiled I let it simmer for 1 hour. (I also like to throw in a handful of parmesan cheese for extra zest!

Pasta with home made marinara sauce

Once the sauce is ready, boil up your water for pasta.  Make sure not to over cook your pasta.  You can use any kind you like.  I chose spaghetti…my fav…This pasta dish is so easy to make and very light.  Add a side salad if you like.  There are a few celebrities out there who have made my sauce before and are hooked…

btw…my husband ate every bit of my sauce…no left overs here:(

It’s so hard to find an eye cream that actually delivers everything it claims…At first application, your eyes may seem smoother and younger.  But look closer girls…They really don’t look much different at all!  Sigh   I have personally tried many eye cream enhancers only to find myself back to where I started a week later…not happy!
