I’m 53. I realized that I needed help in more ways than one. It seems that as soon as I turned 44, which was nine years ago, everything started going south and rather quickly. My eyes stopped focusing on the written word and I needed glasses all of a sudden, my clothes stopped fitting the same way and everything on me looked like it was made to fit a different person, and my mirror stopped smiling back at me. My eyelids are drooping, I have fine lines around my upper lip and eyes, my complexion is all different colors on top of a grey, sallow-looking color, my spark is gone, my lips have completely disappeared, and all of a sudden I have jowls. My breasts don’t stand at attention, my thighs are starting to rub together, and I have a saggy skin apron below my navel. What the heck happened? I’ve always been in good shape, but in an instant nothing is cooperating and it’s looking bleak, hopeless and depressing because it’s only getting worse. When is someone going to invent a time machine to take me back to where I was before?
with a need for a
My body is dry and flaking. I slough off enough skin cells every time I change my clothes to make a pile on the floor and the skin on my face is drooping down to get a better look. I need alot of help because my self-esteem and confidence are taking a big hit. I don’t even want to leave the house and don’t unless I absolutely have to. I need a complete makeover starting from the top down.

January 31st, 2012 at 9:23 pm
I’ve always been told I look way younger than my actual age. In fact most people were shocked when they discovered how old I really was. When my actual age stopped shocking people I knew I was starting to look my age.
It was definitely time to do something about my skin care products. I would like to regain the Wow factor!!!

I realized my skin needed help when I hit my 30′s. I’m 33 years old and am very lucky to have fairly nice skin but I have horizontal lines on my neck that are fairly deep and I’ve tried all kind of things to minimize them but nothing has worked. Also, I’m starting to get eleven lines.

I realized my skin needed help when I went to see a Skin Consultant who used a skin detector to show me the sun damage I had endured over the years. It was frightening. Ever since that day, I have been using SPF every morning religiously. I am in my 30s and I need to take my skincare regimen seriously because I want to maintain my youth.

I realized I needed skin help when I did my makeup for the first time under one of those magnifying-show-every-imperfection-horrible-florescent mirrors! What a ghastly realization to have wrinkles for the first time and be in complete disillusion about it. Now I’m obsessed. In the sun…I pick up a compact. In mall lighting…I peer at my reflection. I would love to banish these sneaky creepy wrinkles away!

I have always known my skin needs help, but it definitely has needed more since losing my job. Due to a lack of income, I haven’t been able to buy things to help my lackluster skin. Winning this contest would be beyond amazing.

I’m 48 years old and my skin is starting to show some signs of aging. I think it’s high time I upgraded my skincare regimen to suit my more mature skin.

For most of my life, when I have told people how old I am, I have always gotten then “no you’re not!” response. great, right?
Recently, I have had a bunch of stress in my life (you know – family, work, life) and when I mentioned my age to someone, they just sort of nodded. OK, not the reaction I usually get, but I moved on. No need to panic. Except the next time(and the next) I got the same reaction. Time to look a little closer in the mirror.
GASP!!! crows feet? smile lines? under eye wrinkles? Where the heck did those come from?!?! On furhter examination, I found that whatever ghastly trick of nature had suddenly shoved me towards the “early bird” crowd, had not stopped at my face. My neck is looking decidedly like a roll of crepe paper. I noticed wrinkles in my decolatage! And it doesn’t stop there! Oh no! The evil old-age fairy sprinkled her crusty dust everywhere. Suddenly, my breasts are sagging, my stomach is slouchy, and my butt is bagging. The horrors!
My skin has always been firm and healthy – youthful looking. Now I feel like I have the seven dwarves of skin hell riding shotgun – flaky, itchy, blotchy, patchy, wrinkly, dull and – the worst of them all – acne prone.
I am SO in need of skincare help! Someone, please! Rescue me!!!!

When I was in my early 20s I already developed a deep crease on my forehead. I think it was due to a combination of bad cosmetic choices and an outdoor summer job in my youth (and forgetting the SPF protection).

I was young, in my early teens, when my mother advised me to start using facial moisturizer. I’m 52 and I hardly have any wrinkles. Also, I have never been a sunbather and that truely helped avoiding wrinkles as well.

Actually just the last couple of months. I recently turned 34 and though i know it’s not old or whatnot, but my skin has gotten so much dryer the past couple of months. I’m sure part of it, is just winter skin, but i’ve never had a problem with that before, so i think its definitely time to start treating my skin better!

I’ve always used facial moisturizer and I think it has helped me from getting wrinkles and my skin feels soft, too. Thanks for the contest!
