Now go find a silk scarf that has a bit of color, swirl it completely around your neck then tie it into a soft knot either at the front or side of your neck.  Add a bit of red color lipstick to your lips, maybe a few bangles arouund your wrists and you are good to go!

The name Blue Ivy is music to Jay-Z and Beyonce.  The superstar parents have a long association with both parts of their baby daughter’s name.  Jay-Z’s seminal 2001 album was titled “The Blueprint,” and it became the first in a trilogy, with two more Blueprint records in 2002 and 2009.

“My favorite hue is Jay-Z Blue,” he rhymed on Young Jeezy’s “Go Crazy” in 2005.  The first single on his 2007 album American Gangster was “Blue Magic.”  This summer a massive blue-tinted billboard featuring Jay-Z and his Nets basketball team co-owner Mikhail Prokhorov towered on Eighth Avenue near Madison Square Garden, ahead of the New Jersey team’s move to Brooklyn along with the title “the blueprint for greatness.”

Meanwhile, the name Ivy is rumored to be a play on IV, the Roman numeral for the power couple’s beloved number four.  The latest studio album for Beyonce’s was titled “4,” and not just because it was her fourth solo album, she told Billboard in May.  “We all have special numbers in our lives, and four is that for me.  It’s the day I was born, my mother’s birthday, and a lot of my friends’ birthdays are on the fourth.   April 4 is my wedding date,” she said.

The rap mogul Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, was born on Dec. 4, 1969.  The digit in the name of his popular Manhattan sports bar is 40/40 Club.  I’d say these two are #4 happy!

And leave it up to Twitter to claim that their baby’s name has a dark biblical meaning when spelled backwards…Good thing that was debunked!  The parents haven’t commented on the name but you can guess that the public has much to say…DON’T they always…?!
