DID RUSSELL BRAND ignore his instincts when it came to marrying Katy Perry? According to a source close to the “Firework” singer, Brand “threatened to call off the wedding more than once” in the months leading to his October 2010 union with Perry. Why you ask…? The recovering alcoholic, former sex and heroin addict, couldn’t deal with Perry’s hard-partying ways.

The couple was also known for fighting often over Perry’s jealousy of “other women.” They would “argue and make up constantly.” CRAZY! In December, as we reported, Brand filed for divorce, so look out for more fights ahead but about $$$, especially if reports are true that there was no prenup. Brand’s rep did not respond by deadline, and Perry’s could not be reached.
