As 2011 comes to a close, Beyonce has her sights set on a very important countdown of her own.

The singer, 30, is said to be expecting her baby any day now.

Several staffers at New York’s St. Luke’s Roosevelt hospital have been ordered to prepare the facility’s labor and delivery suite for a “celebrity VIP,” the gossip site, MediaTakeOut.com, reported.

Fellow crooner Alicia Keys gave birth to son Egypt in that same suite in 2010, according to RadarOnline.com.

There were, however, no obvious signs of additional security within the hospital on Thursday.

But photos of the Knowles family shopping around the city have further added to speculation that the due date is fast approaching.

Beyonce and husband Jay-Z reside in a multi-million dollar penthouse in the city.

The songstress has been low-key in the past few months, but in a clip from her “Live at Roseland DVD,” she waves at fans and says, “Hello! It’s Sept. 23 … Right now I’m actually shooting the video for ‘Countdown’ and I’m six months pregnant, pretending that my stomach is flat in body suits.”

Beyonce first revealed her pregnancy on the red carpet at this year’s MTV Music Awards in August.

Age is just a number, because even at 63, Steven Tyler is ready to take on marriage No. 3.

The rocker and “American Idol” judge proposed to longtime girlfriend Erin Brady, 38, over the holiday weekend — and his family’s not too happy about it.

Several family members have said that Brady is “just not nice” and has “been mean to the family,” sources close to the clan told TMZ.

In addition, the Aerosmith front man hadn’t told anybody about his plans to pop the question until after the fact, a decision that has caused an even bigger rift between Brady and the expansive Tyler family.

Tyler and Brady, a model, have been dating since 2006, just shortly after he split with his second wife, clothing designer Teresa Barrick.

The two were married from 1988 until 2006, and had two children together, Chelsea, 22, and Taj, 19.

Tyler also has a daughter with his first wife, Andy Warhol muse Cyrinda Foxe – model Mia, 33 – to whom he was married from 1978 to 1987.

The singer’s most famous daughter, actress Liv Tyler, is 34, just four years younger than Tyler’s new wife-to-be.

“Friends, friends’ mothers, kids, all different people come up to me pretty much everyday to say, ‘Oh we love your Dad. He’s so special and beautiful,’” she told Popeater of her dad earlier this year.

“There’s a real feeling of love which I think is incredible and quite powerful. I really just feel very proud of him.”

The ongoing marriage saga between Katy Perry and Russell Brand comes just in time for the holidays.  The pair reportedly “had a HUGE fight” just before Christmas, a source told BSW.  It was reported: “She was like, ‘F–k you. I’m going to do my own thing.’  And Russell replied, ‘Fine, f–k you too.’ ”

Perry, initially had plans of taking her family for a trip to visit Brand’s London hometown, but after the big blowup, the pop star opted to jet to Hawaii with friends instead.  Meanwhile, Brand, spent the Christmas holiday at a Cornwall pub before heading to friend David Baddiel’s charity swim.

“They haven’t split up just yet, but things are not good,” our source said. “The fighting is getting worse.”  One of the main reasons Perry and Brand may be at odds as of late comes down to family.  “Katy doesn’t think Russell respects her parents’ Christian beliefs or her friends,” another source added.

Rumors of an impending split are nothing new for this couple, who have had to fight off tabloid reports of divorce and pregnancy since they first married in October 2010.  “There is always rumors, aren’t there?”  Brand asked Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show earlier this month.  “In the end you have to just not engage with Internet technology, which is difficult because a lot of the nude women websites I quite enjoy … I’ve treated the whole Internet now like it’s a wicked little liar … I am really happily married.”

Music Producer, Larry Klein, has spent decades in New York’s Times Square on New Years Eve.  He’s not out there on the streets among thousands of people, but in a control room calling the shots as the producer of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.”

“Every single year, when I get there, there’s a lot of work and a lot of things to worry about,” says the Los Angeles based Klein. “But, when you’re there, on that night, something takes over. I’ve never lost it.”  By “it,” he means the wonderment of the people, performances and energy that happen in Times Square on New Year’s Eve.

“We’re at the center of the universe for New Year’s Eve,” Klein said. “Everybody has come together. Everybody is happy. It’s like the first time ever. It’s not something you can take for granted.”

This year there’s a little more work for Klein and his team behind the show because ABC will devote a night to the 40th anniversary of the New Year’s Eve staple.

Jenny McCarthy and Fergie will host “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve: The 40th Anniversary Party,” a two-hour celebration of the show, leading into “Dick Clark’s Primetime New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest” at 10 p.m., followed by local news, and then at 11:30 p.m. the main event in Times Square.  (BSW is proud to say that our dear friend Paul Greenberg is the head writer for Jenny this night).

Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber (with Santana), Pitbull and Hot Chelle Rae are scheduled to perform in New York.  Also on the show are Gym Class Heroes, Nicki Minaj, Taio Cruz, Christina Perri, Florence + the Machine and more.

Klein also added that Clark will be on hand throughout the show and for the key countdown at the end when the ball drops in New York.  “The logistics alone of what it takes to put on the live performances is amazing,” says Klein, who also produces the American Music Awards.  “The key to putting a good show together is staying in touch with current music trends,” he said.

Back in the day, Klein and Clark would head for a hamburger after the show at New York’s PJ Clarke’s.  Now that they’re on the air until 2 a.m., it makes their burger trip a little tougher.  They used to joke that they could judge the success of the show by how many people said hello as they walked through the airport the next morning.

Now Klein can tell immediately if the show is a success…“When you’re sitting in the control room, either watching Dick or Ryan or watching a performance and it’s chaos, organized chaos, you feel it.  And when you run outside and hear that crowd it just hits you. You know, my God, we’re doing it again.”

Lady Gaga had a present Sunday for all her Little Monsters followers, posting a previously unreleased track, “Stuck on F— You,” on Twitter that “was recorded live, in one take, on the tour bus.”

Kim Kardashian (who nobody really cares about…) put visions of sugar plums dancing in the heads of her admirers when she posted a festive shot of herself in “silk jammies….ready for bed!” on Twitter.  The photo came from a Glamour magazine cover shoot earlier in 2011.  (She would…so in love with herself…)

The TV star’s 16-year-old half-sister, Kendall, also took to the Internet to show off her early Christmas present: a pair of adorable chocolate Labrador puppies.  “OMG OMG OMG! Best Xmas present ever!!!!!!! 2 beautiful puppies!!!!!! Ahhhh thanks mom and dad!!!!,” she tweeted to her parents, Kris and Bruce Jenner.

The First Family, had a quieter and more private Christmas Eve in Hawaii with family and a few close friends during the Obamas’ annual Kailua, Hawaii vacation.  First Lady Michelle Obama answered calls from children around the U.S., asking how close Santa was to their homes, the White House said Saturday.  (That was a lovely gesture…!)  Meanwhile, the President managed to squeeze in a round of golf:)

Newly minted New Yorker Ashley Hebert and her fiance J.P. Rosenbaum, who got engaged at the end of last season’s “The Bachelorette,” spent the holidays learning about each other’s religion.  “All of my friends in dental school are Jewish and they celebrated Hanukkah, but I never did,” Hebert told People Magazine. “I love it.”  After spending a few days lighting Hanukkah candles, the couple shifted gears and spent Christmas holiday weekend with Hebert’s family in Madawaska, Maine, the magazine reported.

Seth Rogen joked on his new Twitter feed that his holiday weekend plan was to “watch ‘Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy’ and ‘Martha Marcy May Marlene’ in my annual “Movies With Four Random Words For Titles Marathon.”

However, some celebs were not content to spend the weekend watching chestnuts roast on an open fire.

LONDON — Queen Elizabeth II emphasized the importance of family in her Christmas message this year and her grandchildren brought some Christmas cheer to her husband, Prince Philip, as he recovered in a hospital after a heart procedure.

The 90-year-old prince was forced to miss the royal family’s traditional Christmas festivities — opening presents together, going to a morning church service and viewing the Queen’s Christmas broadcast — after doctors put a coronary stent in. Philip had gone to the hospital on Friday complaining of chest pains, which doctors determined were caused by a blocked coronary artery.

Buckingham Palace said Philip was “in good spirits” and would remain in the hospital under observation.

Prince William and his brother Prince Harry drove in separate cars to Papworth Hospital from Sandringham, Elizabeth’s sprawling estate where the royal family gathered to celebrate Christmas.

Prince Andrew’s daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, also came to the hospital, along with Princess Anne’s children, Zara and Peter.

The visit from the royal grandchildren came after Elizabeth’s annual, pre-recorded Christmas message to the nation aired. The royal family reportedly watches the broadcast together every year.

The theme of her broadcast — family — was especially poignant with Philip in the hospital recovering. The message was recorded Dec. 9, before Philip, also known as the Duke of Edinburgh, went into the hospital.

Wearing a festive red dress, the Queen said the importance of family was driven home by the marriages of two of her grandchildren this year — William and Zara. William’s royal wedding at Westminster Abbey captivated the world in April, and Zara had a quiet but elegant celebration in July.

The 85-year-old queen has made a prerecorded Christmas broadcast on radio since 1952 and on television since 1957. She writes the speeches herself, and the broadcasts mark the rare occasion on which the queen voices her own opinion without government consultation.
