Scarlett Johansson says she stays away from Facebook, Twitter, feeling strange about being in the spotlight

Being in the spotlight takes some getting used to — even for A-lister Scarlett Johansson.
“It’s a gamble every time you put yourself out there, and certainly, I’m always readjusting to it,” the star admits to Arianna Huffington in the December/January issue of Interview Magazine. “But I hope it never becomes normal to feel scrutinized.”
It has been a busy year for Johansson, 27, who just finished work on “We Bought a Zoo,” co-starring Matt Damon.
But when it comes to life off the big screen, the star is hesitant to share too much on social media.
“I don’t have a Facebook or a Twitter account,” she said. “I can’t think of anything I’d rather do less than have to continuously share details of my everyday life.”
She has reason to worry. In September, a hacker stole nude photos that she sent on her cell phone to her now ex-husband, Ryan Reynolds.
One thing she is vocal about? Politics.
“I grew up in a household that was very politically conscious,” she said. “It was just understood that it was important, that it was our responsibility.”
