A Celebrity Gives Back: Lea Black Star of The Real Housewives of Miami
Posted by The Bender Sisters on November 23rd, 2011
Just the other day Beth and I got to break bread with Lea Black, one of “The Real Housewives of Miami.” We really didn’t know what to expect and to be perfectly honest, it wasn’t a hell of a lot, considering the reputation most of these ‘real housewives’ have…All these sisters can say is WOW!!!
Lea has been residing in Miami since 1994 and her resume includes: entrepreneur, author, philanthropist, wife, mother of a 10 year old boy, and founder of The Black Annual Gala, which helps support and aid disadvantaged kids.
We were eager to hear what made this native Texan so passionate about Sudden Youth Skincare, her latest project that was originally developed in 1984. “I always wondered why my grandmother had no wrinkles,” Lea said. I finally asked her one day when I was older and she said egg whites.” Lea’s grandmother and mother both made an egg white facial that once dried, would rinse off then apply a moisturizer. Lea set out to recreate this facial lift to help all skin types which she did successfully and then put on hold to be a full time mom. Just recently she decided to jump back in as well as extend her skincare line to include: glycolic pearlized face wash, apple stem cell serum, apple stem cell light moisturizer, and her amazing facial contour recovery mixture.
We sat at Aroma Cafe in Studio City sharing stories, gossip, and beauty secrets. The three of us agreed that we could sit there all afternoon chatting away, but RJ was anxious to get a new electronic game…Such a boy! To sum up Lea Black, this very successful woman is all about helping others…One of the main reasons The Bender Sisters adore her! Lea has the heart of a giant. She told us that the only reason she accepted her position as “A Real Housewife of Miami,” was to help a dear friend who was in financial need. Lea Black is an extraordinary woman who takes nothing for granted and knows how to ‘pay it forward.’
Muah!!!
