Lindsay Lohan looked somber in her mugshot on Wednesday. The 25-year-old was handcuffed and removed from an L.A. courtroom, taken to jail and then released on $100,000 bond.
Judge Stephanie Sautner revoked the Mean Girls starlet’s probation Wednesday morning, dismissing attorney Shawn Chapman Holley’s argument that the actress was slow to complete her community service because she had to leave town for work commitments. Work commitments? She hasn’t worked in months.
“She’s supposed to be an actress, from what I hear,” Sautner said before reminding Lohan that “probation is a gift.”
The judge ordered Lohan to complete 16 hours at County Morgue before her Nov. 2 hearing. She better be careful, they might confuse her with one of the corpses. Her makeup yesterday looked like she was ready to be placed into a coffin.
Before Wednesday’s hearing, Lohan pleaded for the public’s support via Twitter: ”I just want it to be known, that just because I was not followed and photographed during the times I’ve gone to community service, that does not mean that I wasn’t following my obligations (by going) to the court.”
In June, Lohan was sentenced to complete 480 hours of community service, which required her to volunteer at a downtown Los Angeles women’s shelter and clean the county morgue. She is expected to comply with the terms of her sentence by April 2012.
What happened to this once promising actress? Was it her stage mom Dina, friends, too much attention, or is she just so self absorbed that she can’t see the spiral that will eventually just snuff her out?
