Gwen Stefani turns 42 today and in honor of her birthday we are letting you in on how she create her famous look with step by step tips from celebrity makeup artist Stacey Ellis of Byu-Ti Salon/LA.

Face: Apply Dior Airflash Spray Foundation to a large powder brush and dust over face, layer for more coverage. This will give a soft even powder finish.
Eyes: 5 Couleurs Designer Palette- Smoky Design. Use the lightest color across the entire eye up to brow line. The darkest metallic gray from the outside corner, blending into the middle. Sweep the light gray across the crease of the eye to blend.
Apply the black gel liner using the small angled brush along the top lash line start a little past the outside corner and work inwards to the middle. Create a soft line under the eye with the darkest gray. Finish the eyes with Diorshow Black Out Mascara
Lips: Apply a little foundation to the lip line for a clean canvas then line the lip with Dior Contour Lip Liner color Holiday Red and fill the lip in with Diorific High Fashion Lipstick, color Dolce Vita Red.
Cheeks: use a medium sized brush and dust – Dior Blush, Peechy Keen from the apple of the cheek back to the ear.
