Even Jennifer Lopez had trouble getting her glam back after welcoming her twins Max and Emme over three years ago.

“Sometimes you don’t even have time to shower, and I totally understand that” the single mom, 42, says.

But her son and daughter inspired her — then and now — to summon her inner fashionista. “My kids need to know what I look like! Make an effort and say, ‘OK, I need to get back to the person I was.”

Her advice to new moms? “Don’t stress over it!”

Easy to say when you’re Jennifer Lopez.

The singer, actress, designer and American Idol judge also looks back on perhaps her first, and most iconic, style moment in the public eye: That green, plunging-neckline Versace gown at the 2000 Grammy’s, which she wore as then-beau Sean Combs’ date.

One lesser-known fact about that dress? Lopez wasn’t the first to wear it.

“I remember putting it on and the stylist saying, ‘You know, somebody else wore this,’” Lopez recalls. “I was like, ‘I don’t care. It looks great.”

Now that’s the Jennifer Lopez we’re talkin’ about!  Don’t mess with the diva.

The actress darkened her signature color with a deep brown hue featuring hints of red, debuting the look at a Reeve Foundation event in New York this week.

Pattie Yankee worked with designers Carly and Michelle to create a “flesh extension” look.  Pattie used a base of Dashing Diva’s Mr. Right polish mixed with mineral makeup to match each model’s skin tone perfectly.  The designers chose an extended, sharp, oval shaped nail.

For this season’s show, Supima featured the designs of eight students from FIT, Pratt, RISD and Savannah College of Art and Design who were judged by a group of celebrity panelists including Alexandra Wilkis Wilson, founder of Gilt Group; Charlotte Ronson; Coco Rocha; and Nicole Miller.

Pattie worked with the designers to create a classic, simple look using Dashing Diva’s Chelsea in the Buff polish as the first coat and topped it off with a mattifying polish.
