Stumble It!Christina Hendricks Channels Brigitte Bardot’s Smoky Eyes

We are on an awards show beauty roll and can’t seem to get off, but talking about beauty is so much fun, and when you pair it with a gorgeous celeb like Christina Hendricks, even more. Her look was inspired by Brigitte Bardot’s black smoky eyes and nude face, says CoverGirl makeup artist Vanessa Scali, who created the look, but we were thinking maybe just a touch more color on the face would have sealed the deal for us.
For an updated version of the infamous Bardot Smoky Cat Eye, Vanessa softened the look by using a creamy, shimmery shadow in gunmetal. A gray powder shadow was applied outwards at the corners and past the natural lash line to exaggerate the eye size, and add a touch of drama.
Liquid liner and black mascara finished the look. “Strong eyes look great paired with clean, uncomplicated skin,” says Scali, but we would have liked to have seen Christina’s skin with a little more warmth. Sorry Vanessa, love the eyes though.
