As we get closer to Sunday’s Golden Globes in Los Angeles the buzz about who will be wearing what, and what will be the strongest beauty looks on the red carpet will be all we are talking about. For Kerry Washington the choice will be easy, sexy smokey eyes.

Always confident on the red carpet, seen here at the 2010 New York Film Critics Circle Awards in New York City. Her matching smokey eye shadow did well with her gown, but if you’re thinking of doing the same, take a cue from Kerry, and make sure to trick out your eyes in slightly lighter hues.
The actress sported a navy jacket and topped off her look with a blend of soft blue and gray shadows around her eyes. The effect? Sleek and Smokey eye appropriate.
