Paula’s Choice Beauty Products

You might know Paula Begoun as the “cosmetics cop”. True story, my friend loaned me a copy of Paula’s book, Don’t Go to The Cosmetics Counter Without Me and I was excited to read it. Have you seen this book? Its huge! I arrived home one day to see my Great Dane had eaten the book. She took it off the kitchen table and tore it apart with her teeth, biting it until it was unreadable! I guess it was really good. Paula has researched thousands upon thousands of cosmetics and is definitely an expert. Being that she practically has a Ph.d in makeup, I had high expectations for the two products I tested from her line, Paula’s Choice.
I tried the Barely There Sheer Matte Tint Spf 20. This is a tinted moisturizer.
It is ideal if you want just a bit of coverage. I like this for when I am home or going outside for a walk. For when I want to even out my skin but not go full force foundation. Its matte finish improves the look of my skin so I don’t feel like I need anything else. Non-irritating and unscented.
Best Face Forward Foundation contains an Spf 15 and its formulated for normal to oily or combination skin. I liked this, I thought it evened out my complexion, lasted all day long and doesn’t have any fragrance to it. It didn’t sink into my pores and fine lines either so high marks for that!
It blended well and my skin still shows through, in other words, its not thick and mask like.
Both products worked well with my oily skin and lasted the day. I like the fact there is sun protection in these and my friends with sensitive skin will be glad to know there is no scent to the products. Priced at $14.95, they won’t break the bank either.
