For the 4th consecutive year, Shiseido Cosmetics America is partnering with Cosmetic Executive Women to support their philanthropic arm Cancer and Careers (CEW) during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Cancer and Careers is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting working women living with cancer.

As part of the partnership, Shiseido will donate $5 to Cancer and Careers for every unit of Shiseido Makeup Luminizing Lip Gloss in Pop Life (PK406) sold throughout the month of October.

Also, in honor of the partnership, all Shiseido makeup counters will feature an exclusive look created by Dick Page, Artistic Director for Shiseido Makeup.  The “In the Pink” look illustrated in the face chart features the Luminizing Lip Gloss in Pop Life and pairs the bold-pink lip with a soft-pink eye shadow.  By visiting a Shiseido counter, consumers can learn how to create the special “In the Pink” look.

The Luminizing Lip Gloss in Pop Life retails for $22.00 and is available online and in-store at select Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom and Dillard’s locations.

Yay!! Cat Eyeliner is Back Again For Fall

There’s a demure, sexy, and extremely easy retro makeup trend that, apparently, Leighton Meester and Alexa Chung are loving at the moment. It’s subtle enough, but look closely and you’ll see that winged tip pointing up ever so slightly, and it definitely caught our eye.

Here’s Leighton showing it off:

And here’s Alexa’s version:

To create this look extend your eye liner on top slightly out and up towards your outer brow. Notice how the liner gets thicker as it gets closer to the end of the eye, giving the look its “demure” finish. I’ve been playing around with cat eyes for years and I always love the way they look. I find that using a cat eyeliner stencil is the quickest, easiest, and most fool proof way to doing them perfectly. Just the other night I was having drinks with a beauty editor in NY and even she noticed my eyeliner, which got me 2 thumbs up!

Are you a cat eye lover, too? Got a tip for getting it just right? We’d love to hear from you.
