Stumble It!Celebrity Beauty: Get Perfect Cat Eye Shadow

One of the great things about summer is being able to play with colors you might not ordinarily wear in the winter months. Fresh colored eye shadows in lavenders, pinks, purples, and blues that are so much fun, and might even catch the attention of a beauty-nista who then makes it the trend.
Keri Hilson did just that, with “hard to miss” killer Cat Eye lids that caught our attention at this years 2010 BET Awards in Los Angeles. Instead of sweeping a sheer wash of color on her lids, she went for something a little more dramatic pairing a lilac, burgundy, and eggplant shadow all in one very sexy cat eye.
To get the look is fairly easy if you use the right tools. Don’t let your cat eyes fall short of perfection. Using an eyeliner stencil will ensure that you get the shape just right, and all you need is a brush and eyeshadow to do them.
Once you have created your Cat Eyes, you can set them with an eyeliner sealant, or a gel eyeliner in the same color. Holding the Cat Eyeliner Stencil slightly upwards at the corners when applying your color, will add a flirty touch.
BSW Beauty Tip: Brows that are unruly, and not shaped are a no-no for the Cat Eye Look. Make sure to pay attention to your brows and clean up any stray hairs, fill in with a powder, and use an eyebrow stencil if you need help with the shape.

I am a new subscriber and I just love your site! Great content. This is such a great cat eye look. I never thought to try a cat eye in purples. Will an eyeliner stencil really help?
