Hey all!  It’s the first long weekend of Spring and I’m sure some of you are heading to the beach or will be outdoors exposed to the sun.  With that said, make sure you have the right type of SPF to keep those warm yet harmful rays off your face…And don’t forget your sunglasses and big old floppy hat!

No, not always the most stylish look but your skin will thank you…The most important ingredients in your sunscreen are titanium dioxide, zinc oxide and avobenzone.  You want to block out the UVA/UVB rays that cause all the damage.  Many SPF’s ( sun protection factor) need to be reapplied every few hours.  However, a new product called Helioplex, developed by Johnson and Johnson, keeps the active ingredients in sunscreen from breaking down and you won’t have to reapply for up to 4 hours!

So, you can relax when you are out and about…no need to set an alarm on your cell to remind yourself to reapply…those days are over…And you don’t have to spend a lot of money for good sunscreen.  Try to find one that doesn’t make your skin look pasty white…not a good look (unless you are pasty white!)
