The Bender Sisters were on the scene last Friday at The Cherokee Lofts in West Hollywood to celebrate Earth Day. These beautiful 2 story lofts built to be eco-friendly in our ever changing world were specifically decorated for a Supper Club Party hosted by the adorable Tamsin Lonsdale.

Makeup, brow & lash, nails, threading, tanning, cosmetics and La Rocca skincare were being offered throughout the afternoon to get the Supper Club attendees ready for a night full of good food and conversation.  The Luxe Beauty Team from Warren Tricomi Salon LA were on hand to perform all of the above.  Mini massages were also being given.  I made sure that I got one…:)

Tamsin started the club in April of 2005 because she loved entertaining, dressing up and bringing people together to communicate.  Tamsin told the sisters, “it’s like a restaurant without walls.”  The Supper Club is by membership only.  You first must be interviewed.  If accepted, you pay your annual dues and then you’re allowed to join the “table.” There are 10 unique suppers per month.

Right now The Supper Clubs are located in London, New York & Los Angeles.  Check them out if you are looking to socialize in an organized fashion…

For anyone who is a True Blood addict, and we know plenty of them including us, then you are probably counting the days until season 3 begins. With just six weeks to go until the racy vampire drama returns to the airwaves, HBO has released its first official cast photo, putting the love triangle between Bill played by Stephen Moyer, Sookie played by Anna Paquin, and Eric, hmmm….this one will have you handing over your neck and begging for more, played by Alexander Skarsgard, front and center.

But could the shot which also features Kristin Bauer as Pam, Nelsan Ellis as Lafayette, who we just loooove, Ryan Kwanten as Jason, and Deborah Ann Wall as new vamptress Jessica, cluing us in on the romance between former lovers Sam, played by Sam Trammell, and Tara, played by Rutina Wesley? I guess we’ll have to wait like everyone else, or will we? Last season didn’t leave us with any leads as to what might happen, but we know one thing, the sisters will be glued to the TV for every episode with cocktail in hand, and the party…..will be by invitation only.

True Blood‘s third season premieres on June 13 on HBO. Yeah baby!!!

Brat Packer Molly Ringwald, star of hot ticket movies from the 80′s like Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, and Pretty in Pink, has published her first book that offers women tips on “how to feel pretty from the inside.” Molly has had an interesting life and is back on TV playing the mother on “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” on ABC Family.

Getting The Pretty Back is Molly’s way of laughing at herself and the irony of being a teenage star.  She shares intimate details about sex, friendship & being a mother, mostly focusing on the importance of feeling pretty everyday no matter what.  Suggestions and tips include:  make dates with friends, do something that makes you happy and it will show in your physical self, feeling down…surround yourself with pink petals, and my personal favorite…wear nude heels…according to Molly, you’ll have legs for days!

The Tribeca Film Festival has been booming with celebrities showing up to promote their new movies. Amanda Seyfried was there for the premiere of her newest film, Letters to Juliet.

It was hard to miss her as she made her way down the red carpet stopping every few seconds for a photo. Her beautiful winged eyes are what got our attention, created by celebrity makeup artist Pati Dubroff.  “We wanted a strong look, so I chose to do a graphic eye,” says Pati, who worked with Amanda Seyfried for the Letters to Juliet premiere. “I shaped gray and taupe shadows along the lids, focusing on the crease and winging it outwards,” she said.

For a look that wasn’t too heavy, Pati left the center of her eyelid free of darker colors, and opted for a light wash of sheer taupe shimmer. “I added lots of individual lashes, and many coats of mascara to make the lashes dense and black,” Dubroff said of how she finished the look.

Zac Posen who is known for dressing some of the coolest Hollywood kids, will now be in Target Stores nationwide.  Selma Blair, Claire Danes, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Parker Posey, Michelle Trachtenberg, & Ginnifer Goodwin (just to name a few celeb fans), were all present at the launch party to support his new line for Target’s “Go International Series.”

The celebration took place at the New Yorker Hotel filled with celebs who already have the luxury of wearing his couture line and who are now eager to grab his designs exclusive to Target.  Zac grew up in the Soho district of New York City, had his first collection on the runway in 2002, at age 21, and celebrities like Natalie Portman wearing his extravagant designs.  He told BSW that “he has no problem buying deodorant and a cool t-shirt in the same place.” At Target his designs are geared more to full figured gals, but they will also be available for those smaller gals out there…like me…

Brooke Shields is no stranger when it comes to being in front of the camera, and with a career that has spanned most of her lifetime, one might think her kids would want to follow mommy in her footsteps, but in the case of daughters Rowan Francis, 6½, and Grier Hammond, 4, the only steps they’re interested in are the steps that lead toward the makeup trailer!

“Every now and then they’ll ask you to put your kids in a fun scene, so I asked and the little one said she would do it,” the actress shared during a Monday appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

“So she went through hair and makeup and got her wardrobe and then refused to do it because all she wanted to do was the hair and makeup. I was like, ‘You’ll never make it in Hollywood!”

Grier who is a total beauty diva at 4, prefers princess parties and playing dress up. Her latest beauty must have? “Lipstick,” says Brooke.

“They just called me from New York and the little one got on the phone and she goes, ‘Mom, do you think I look pretty right now?’ And I’m like, ‘Why are you asking me that?’” she says.

“And she goes, ‘Because I have lipstick on.’ She has lipstick on all the time, that’s all she does.” Enjoy it Brooke, soon she’ll be old enough to be wearing that and god only knows what else! Just recently Shields managed to pull the wool over Grier’s eyes for her seemingly Hollywood over-the-top fourth birthday bash that happen to coincide with the premiere of Furry Vengeance..

“For the after party they had recreated a forest festival and there was a carnival in the back of the movie,” she laughs. “My daughter thought the whole thing was for her. She was like, ‘You’re the best, Mom,’ and I was like, ‘Yeah, I know.’ So I sort of got away with just a little barbecue and making my husband cook.”

Not only is she beautiful and talented, but smart too!

This is a man after my own heart! If I weren’t already married to one of the greatest and most gorgeous guys evah! True Blood’s super sexy hunk, Alexander Skarsgard has a pretty simple rule when it comes to dating, “I focus on the girl, not the activity.” His mama raised him well.

“I try not to plan it out,” the True Blood star, 33, told BSW reporter Lars on Saturday at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of his new movie Metropia in New York. “It has a tendency to get a little stiff and contrived if you work on it too hard. So, I try to be spontaneous.”

Amen to that! Where did this guy come from anyway?

“It’s not about what you do, but who you do it with – that’s most important,” says Skarsgard, who has been linked with his Straw Dogs costar Kate Bosworth. “If you are with someone who is awesome and having a good time, you can sit at a bus station and still have fun.”

Not only is Alexander spontaneous when his clothes are on, but off as well, and considering the amount of nudity on True Blood, it’s a good thing he doesn’t remind removing them, despite the occasional tease from his brothers and sister.

“I’m not a prude at all,” he says. “I shot a very, very graphic scene two days ago with a man. I am from Sweden, and it’s different there. If it makes sense, I’ll just do it. And to me, so far, it’s made sense every single time I’ve got naked or made out on the show.” It is easy to see why so many women have fallen for him, he is not only gorgeous, but he is sweet, funny, likes to have a good time, and seems to have a clue when it comes to relationships.

If you haven’t already heard, SATC’s Sarah Jessica Parker has been asked to record the audio guide for the Costume Institute’s upcoming fashion exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. “American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity,” will view from May 5th through August 15th.

Its curator, Andrew Bolton says the exhibit will look at fashion’s role in defining how American women have been represented historically. “Because of Sex and The City,’ (and Ms. Parker) is so much associated with New York and America, and with using fashion as a way to shape identity,” said Bolton in an interview with WWD.

We are really excited to check out this exhibit ourselves, and will be back in New York City just in time!

On April 19, 2010 The 2010 Matrix Awards celebrated women in communications at New York’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel.  Everything from cooking, doctor’s office waiting room music, print publishing to television was honored.  Check it out…

Mariska Hargitay, star of Law and Order: SVU, spoke about Joyful Heart Foundation, a charity she founded, that deals with issues in communities like sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse.  Mariska was there presenting awards to Sheryl Crow and Tina Fey.  The two honorees, Sheryl and Tina, surrounded Mariska wearing floral dresses by Dolce and Gabbana…“I guess Mariska didn’t get that memo…”

Our BSW reporter on the scene asked Tina if she had any advice for females looking to write & produce and she said, “always write for yourself and what you want not what your male colleagues want.” A big hats off to Tina.  Couldn’t have said it better myself…

Some other honorees and presenters included Anne Keating, senior vice president of public relations, special events & corporate philanthropy for Bloomingdales, Katie Couric, Hoda Kotb, Kathie Lee Griffin, Gayle King, Ina Garten, and Oprah (who presented an award to Gayle King).
