When you think of Violet eyeshadow, are you a gal who loves it on her lids, or do you play it cool and go for the deep violet liner instead? Well, if you answered yes to either, and have a rich, warm skin tone like Kerry Washington’s, a violet shadow may be more neutral and wearable than you think.

At the premiere of Mother and Child in Los Angeles, Kerry’s amethyst hue, worn on the eyelids, and just above the crease, was both subtle and striking. To do, “start by applying color to the eyelid sparingly, and continue to build until the desired intensity. Using a blender brush, or a medium size eyeshadow brush, sweep the color slightly in and above the crease, and with a back and forth motion blend,”says celebrity makeup artist, and Creative Director of beth bender beauty, Beth Bender.
Choosing a shade with a hint of shimmer like Kerry’s will really work the look even more, and when is comes to smoky eyes, nobody does them better than Beth herself, and her Get in Line Smoky Eyeliner & Stencil Kit has helped thousands of women everywhere achieve the look effortlessly.
Right now they are celebrating the launch of their new beauty site that will go live in June, and to thank their new, and loyal following of customers, beth bender beauty and bettes boutique are just about giving their products away, like the Original Get in Line Smoky Eyeliner Kit, which is free each time you purchase it!
Check out the OMG! Spring Trio Palette for creating beautiful eyes just like Kerry Washington’s, and you’ll Get The BFF Smoky Eye Palette on the house!

If you have acne or acne that flares up at least once a month during your menstrual cycle then I urge you to try CLENZiderm M.D. Systems by Obagi Medical Products. There are 2 systems to choose from depending on your type of acne, normal to oily skin or normal to dry skin. Obagi CLENZiderm M.D. Systems are the only prescription strength acne treatments that contain a patented, solubilized form of 5% benzoyl peroxide that penetrates deep into the follicle to treat acne where it starts!

CLENZiderm M.D. Systems
Meet Austin Carpenter, a professional actress since age 4, and now a high school senior in the Los Angeles district. She has been battling dry acne for over a year and no other products have worked until I gave her CLENZiderm M.D. Systems by Obagi Medical Products.

Here’s how Austin used CLENZiderm and her results...
“I used Obagi mostly at night. I would exfoliate my face in the shower and then use the cleansing gel after. Immediately after getting out of the shower, I would use a small amount of the moisturizer on my face. After about 5 minutes, I would evenly apply the medicated lotion to my whole face. On actual pimples I would dab a small amount on the area without rubbing it in. The medicine stings for 5-10 minutes after it is applied but then goes away fairly quickly. In the morning, I would wash my face with the gel again, and re-moisturize. The medicine would dry clearly on my skin so sometimes I would rub a little on problem spots before school as well. I needed to keep my skin extremely moisturized while using Obagi, which aside from the mild stinging, was the only down side. If I didn’t, my skin became SUPER dry and scaly. The moisturizer that came with the kit was great for that though. It was very light on my skin, not oily and heavy like a lot of creams.”
“All in all, I’ve loved Obagi. It worked so great in such a short period of time. My skin began clearing up in under two weeks. I can’t imagine any acne product (like Proactive) working nearly as well as Obagi. I’ll be SO sad when I’m out! PS: Obagi didn’t leave my face feeling stiff either. A lot of acne creams seem to dry on the surface of your skin, sealing your face like cement and making facial movement very uncomfortable. Obagi seemed to really absorb into my skin. Even while the acne cream was on my face, my skin still felt.. well.. like my skin, not like I’d just spackled my face with chemicals. Thanks so much Te-see! I’ve LOVED this product!”
