Who knew when we were 12 years old, skiing down the slopes in upstate New York, that one of us would end up saving the cast of Grey’s Anatomy…well, it wasn’t me…I was too busy jetting to foreign countries modeling while Kim Raver was busy performing on stage which eventually landed her on television.  Growing up in New York with her mother Tina (a big advertising executive), whom our father (a big film editor worked with for years), it’s no wonder we ended up where we did!

Kim’s television career has taken her from Third Watch, 24, Lipstick Jungle and now to Grey’s.  The Bender Sisters asked Kim how she’s adjusting to being Doctor Teddy Altman and she said, “I keep running up to the ambulance like on my “Third Watch” days to help with the gurney.  Sandra Oh has had to remind me not to…”  LOL!  The controversy over her and Katherine Heigl doesn’t seem to matter…this gal is quite liked by the Grey’s executives…so get use to seeing Dr. Teddy.

Now a days the television is full of reality shows…You can thank the Screen Actors Guild for that one…the last strike in 1999-2000 opened the doors wide for all non-union shows…hence, Reality TV!

"Hey Jane! Stop this crazy thing!!!

It seems that since the Survivor phenomena, every time we switch channels another reality show pops on the screen.  Yes, a few are interesting but the majority are not.  And what does Jessica Simpson really know about beauty and fashion?  Apparently nothing since it tanked…her first mistake was taking it global and visiting exotic luxury spas…This isn’t really going to help your credibility as a beauty expert.  Maybe she should have done a show on herself…(her first episode could have been about “how not to dress when you are a celebrity”)…Real inner beauty develops over time with self awareness and life experiences.  With that being said, being a singer/celebrity shouldn’t give you carte blanche to be an expert in every field of life…?

And why would I want to watch the Kardashians as they are followed around fighting in a lethargic tone, Khloe’s filthy mouth, and Kourtney having a baby with a loser?  And let’s not forget Kris, their mother who is so obsessed with herself, money, and treats Bruce Jenner like a family pet?  Is this the kind of image we want our children exposed to?

OMG...my head is spinning...

All I want to know is when will it end…I’ve become a huge fan of Netflix…relishing in the oldie but goodie television programs from the 70′s, 80′s and yes…even the 90′s…I don’t want to watch or care about any of these people…they have all become celebrities for doing absolutely NOTHING…Where is old, classic Hollywood?  I want it back…Instead our choices when we tune into Prime time are these put on shows about real life…lol!

Maybe if the “reality world” was actually reality, not hyped, some of us could actually watch it.  But to all of you who have been sucked into the vacuum, just know that most of it is scripted and not true…and that folks…Is Hollywood:)
