From what I’ve been seeing Spring Fashion 2010 looks like a “free for all.”  Fashions to make all girls happy no matter their shape or size!  There is something for everyone…yay!!!!

What's Hot In Skinny Pants This Spring

If you are a skinny pants leg fan then you will be happy to know that skinny is in this Spring.  Plus the trend is to sport your skinny pants with a fitted top.  Sounds great to me since I look better in this type of style.  Available in muted plaids, bright colors as well as subtle colors you can find these fashions at your local department store or designer boutique.  Prices will range from $50 for knock offs to $300 or more for the real deal.  Depending on your budget you can recreate anyone of these trends if you are a thrifty shopper like myself…check out Loehman’s, TJ Maxx, or Marshall’s…you might get lucky…

Jumpsuits are in, girls!

Love, love, love jumpsuits…one piece to slip on and walk out the door…and ever so stylish!  You can dress it up with your favorite belt or earrings.  And let’s not forget a fabulous pair of shoes…This trend is one that can stay in fashion forever if you ask me…Looks like big florals and bright solids are the thing.

The Slouchier the better...

And for you gals who prefer to hang loose…you’ve got the slouchy pants look.  More leg, crotch space and freedom.  A trend that can be worn by all.  Pull on a pair with a matching blouse or cotton t-shirt with a stylish blazer and you are ready for anything.  Can be worn with trendy flats like Lindsay Phillips or sexy heels by Jen And Kim.

Hot Denim Styles for 2010

Skinny, slouchy, shredded and even tailored denim will be seen this Spring.  Lacoste has some cute hooded dresses and love Anna Sui’s short embroidered denim dress.  Again, something for everyone!!!

Take my advice and shop around before you purchase your new trendy Spring wardrobe…You might be able to find pieces for your “Spring Look” at several designer discounted warehouses.  If you’re not concerned with prices then go for it!  I say…if ya want something bad enough you should get it:)

BSW was on the scene this Thursday, February 4, to celebrate the welcoming of Barbara Orbison’s highly acclaimed perfume “Pretty Woman,” at the Whole Lotta Loving event at Apothia Fred Segal located on Melrose Avenue in Hollywood.

The beautiful Barbara Orbison had just walked the famous Hollywood Blvd. to receive a Star for her late husband Roy who is known world wide for his many hits like Pretty Woman, which is still just as hot today as it was when first released.  Barbara was glowing and felt that her fragrance (which she has been wearing for 20 years and just now decided to bottle it), said that the name suited her scent since she so strongly felt that “all women are beautiful on the inside and out.” Which of course is BSW’s motto, so Barbara and I were off and running into a deep conversation.

Barbara began to tell me how in her German family background the women were all known for creating fragrances and concocting things.  (another thing in common we had!) She explained that she would buy other fragrances but they were always missing a certain ingredient.  It took her decades to find the perfect mix of florals, crisp bergamot with rich notes of amber, patchouli and cedar. Every day some one would stop her to inquire “what scent she was wearing.” According to Barbara, “some women would actually hug me so they could get my scent onto themselves!”

I just loved talking to Barbara and felt inclined to tell her my parents love story…On June 19, 2010, our parents will be married 50 years! Our father still refers to our mother as his “pretty woman” and in her honor plays Roy’s famous song to her every day! When I told Barbara this she immediately insisted on giving me her late husband Roy Orbison’s “Definitive Collection” to celebrate their anniversary. This lady was truly the epitome of her fragrance!

Now I could go on about this woman but this post would be endless!  The gals at Apothia Fred Segal along with Barbara gave my 7 year old daughter Ella some roll on perfume which she has been wearing every day mind you, and gave one to her teacher Heather the very next day!  We’ve also been listening to Roy’s discs in the car and Ella knows all the words “thanks to poppy Jerry…”
