Get The Hottest Smoky Eyes For Spring
Posted by The Girls in the BSW Beauty Dept. on February 3rd, 2010
Who says smoky eyes have to be dark and dangerous? One of the prettiest examples of how to update the look for spring was at this season’s Versace show. “The look is so fresh, and it’s one you can wear in real life,” says makeup artist Beth Bender.
To create this look on yourself, beth suggests following these easy steps:
1. Starting with the violet shadow in the OMG Kit from beth bender beauty, work the color into the crease of the eyelid and along the brow bone. Use the same color along the top and bottom lashes and softly smudge, extending the color out into a V shape at the outer corner of the eye. A blender brush works best to create this effect.
2. Using a damp eyeliner brush, with an eyeliner stencil, trace a thin line of plum shadow along the top lash line, winging it slightly at the outer corner. You can use the Cat Eyeliner Stencil for a more defined wing look.
3. The inner corner of the eyes and the brow bone were highlighted with a few dabs of the iridescent pale pink shadow from the OMG Eyeshadow Kit.
4. For a doe-eyed effect, and to finish the eyes, apply two generous coats of CoverGirl LashBlast Length Mascara in Very Black on both the top and bottom lashes.
