Ever wonder how celebrities keep their bodies looking tip-top? Especially the ones like Brooke Burk seen below, who give birth and within weeks they look amazing. Well if I told you it was Pilates, you might be surprised at first, but believe me, I have seen the transformation myself and it works!
“Pilates is for everybody,” says Amy Cady owner of ABC Pilates, and she is living proof that doing it, will keep you looking great. Although the hardest part is to get them to stop protesting, and just try it.
Amy Cady is the owner of ABC Pilates, and very active in the Pilates industry in California. She helped define Pilates on a collegiate level in Orange County, and has designed the Pilates programs for Saddleback College, and Irvine Valley College. And just this past summer when she was stuck with crutches due to her broken foot, and yet still wanting to workout, she had the insight to create a whole new mode of Pilates exercises that is perfectly suited for those with injuries.
“To me Pilates isn’t just an exercise,” says Amy. “It pours into every aspect of life, how you get into your car, how you walk, how you get out of bed. So even with this injury, I realized Pilates could be a bigger positive in my life than ever. It was so enlightening. Besides learning how to effectively apply Pilates to bodies suffering from injuries, I really had such a renewed empathy and consideration for how to help people with injuries and weak bodies regain strength and become fit despite the obstacles.”
Get back into shape after “The Holiday Crunch” with Pilates. Better than lifting weights and will tone you like you never thought!
