Thursday night the Bender Sister’s strapped on their heels and headed straight to the red carpet in Beverly Hills, CA for the Divine Design-Project Angel Food Gala held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
This annual affair kicked off what has become one of the biggest retail shopping events on the West Coast, and we were there to get the scoop Bender Sister Style. From backstage to chatting with celebrities like Julie Benz of Dexter, Pauley Perette of NCIS, and Carrie Preston from True Blood.

Te-see, Pauley Perrette, & Beth
Pauley Perrette has been supporting “Project Angel Food” for years, and understands the importance of helping those who are home bound, and need good nourishment. One of the most gracious actors, and so passionate about this cause. She looked stunning in her vintage black fitted dress.

Te-see, Julie Benz from Dexter & Beth
Julie Benz loves coming each year to shop and help the cause since all profits go directly to
“Project Angel Food.” And as she told the Bender Girls…
“she gets all of her holiday shopping done in one night!” BTW…Julie can’t live without her
Urban Decay Rockstar eyeliner.

Beth, Christina Hendricks of Mad Men, & Te-see
Christina Hendricks of Mad Men was honored with the ‘Woman of Style’ award and looked absolutely stunning as she made her way down the glorious carpet stopping every few seconds to pose for a pic. Celebrity Stylist Rachel Zoe presented the ‘Fashion Icon’ award to Barbie – yes, Ken’s girlfriend, and of course looked so great in her vintage floor length dress. A big BeautyStyleWatch thumbs up!
Steven Kolb, Exec. Director of the CFDA was awarded winner of the ‘Man of Style’ award looking very dashing in his beautiful blue suit. The dinner was capped off with a Barbie fashion show with creative styles from the FIDM Debut 2009 alongside special designer renditions of a Barbie look, circa now! The pink runway and Barbie-look-a-like models were enough to excite the crowd.

Brenda, Adrian, Te-see, Liz, Beth, Lacey (the designers for divine design barbie runway show)
We were able to speak first hand to a few of the young designers who were debuting their pieces to a star studded audience and they were so excited to be there. This young talented group of designers will be on top of the fashion radar very soon. Keep your eyes open…

Gala guests were also treated to VIP passes good for in & out privileges during the entire sale event as well as a preview before the sale was officially opened to the public. The retail floor was divided into various departments from home, luxury fashions for women, men, children & gift items. There was something for everyone and The Bender Sisters didn’t see anyone leaving without a purchase. There were Berliner C shirts (an absolute BSW must-have), beautiful dresses and tops that had our names all over them.
