Hold on to your “Barret” girls because La Prairie has just launched “Plumage de Nuit” (feathers of the night) for their New Fall 2009 Colour Collection.  This fabulous palette includes rich shades of browns, purples, and wines, that are interlaced with gold & copper. The sophisticated woman in all of us will just love these new colours not to mention the glamorous silver compacts that are La Prairie’s signature.

Raychel Wade, La Prairie’s Colour Ambassador & creator of “Cheek to Chic” cosmetic consultancy in New York says, “that the Plumage de Nuit collection is so versatile that the various components can work for anyone ages 25 to 65.  The colours are rich and the textures are build-able, providing endless options for various looks.”

Last week our New York reporter Dina Cramer was on the scene at Saks Fifth Avenue for the La Prairie kick-off “stylized colour” event where she got to personally experience “Brushes of Greatness” with Raychel Wade.  Here is what Dina had to say…

I really enjoyed meeting Raychel.  She was so personable, sweet and knew how to hold a brush.  I felt very comfortable in her makeup chair and when she was done I looked gorgeous!  She recommended the following colors for me:  Sandpiper eye shadow (a quad of warm golden colors), Berry Glow cream blush, Cashmere lipstick, Maribou gloss, and Nude lip liner. BTW…Raychel swears by La Prairie’s Cellular Treatment Illuminating Face Powder since it offers a soft, subtle glow in a silky smooth formula.  The event was so exciting.  There was a steady flow of happy clients getting their faces transformed into pure heaven.

According to Raychel the number one issue most women want to improve is their age.  They want to look younger & learn how to apply makeup to look more natural.  Most of Raychel’s clients were confused by all of the products out there so that’s when she created “Cheek to Chic” (an unbiased opinion of what makeup and beauty products work best for each individual).  So, Raychel became a personal shopper for makeup!

Raychel is originally from Vermont and has been a professional makeup artist for over 10 years.  Her resume includes Nars, Bobbi Brown, and Giorgio Armani.  After La Prairie hired Raychel to train their spa estheticians in Grand Caymen and Los Angeles, she was then named the Colour Ambassador to nationally promote their Fall 2009 collection.  Pretty impressive!
