This past week Beth and I have been going through various stages of shedding…Our skin that is!  It’s the latest Celebrity craze since it’s a non-surgical procedure and the downtime is 5 – 7 days.  It’s called Pearl/Pearl Fractional. The Bender Sisters personally experienced the true meaning of “skin resurfacing,” at Pure Indulgence Skin. We never laughed so hard and have been documenting our journey from the start…Here are some photos from the first day.

Day 1…Te-see before treatment & right after

My face was numbed for over an hour with white numbing cream so I felt no pain.   My skin is only slightly red and slightly swollen especially around the eyes immediately after the Pearl/Pearl Fractional treatment.

Gigi Goddard of Pure Indulgence Skin of Laguna Niguel went over our entire face using the Cutera laser.  She did a Pearl treatment which resurfaces your initial layer of skin and improves any signs of sun damage and wrinkles.  Then she followed this with Pearl Fractional which is a separate attachment that allows the laser to go deeper into the dermis and stimulates your collagen.  With this procedure you can get closer to the eye and mouth area where wrinkles tend to be more visible.  Total time for both procedures combined was about 20 minutes.  OMG!  Unheard of in the world of plastic surgery…

Once the treatment was done we had to apply a vinegar soak to reduce the redness, swelling and speeds the healing process.   A little bag was given to us which included post treatment instructions, vinegar, disposable gloves, acquaphor, a head band and gauze.
