Best Styles For Women Who Are Aging Fabulously
Posted by Te-see on May 13th, 2009
Unfortunately girls, fashion styles and trends although popular are not always right for us as we are aging fabulously. When you are in your 20′s, even early 30′s it’s okay to wear that short-short skirt or that “peter pan” top bare legged. But I have to tell you at a Van Morrison concert in downtown Los Angeles last weekend I saw a lot of “what was she thinking,” outfits. I’m not saying you can’t wear youthful styles because that’s just not true. I live in juniors and will stay there until I’m 80. But I will also make sure that it looks right on me before I walk out the door. What you wear says so much about who you are as a person.
My friend Vivien and I kept looking at each other with that “did she look in the mirror,” expression. Ladies, consult a mirror or a fashion magazine that focuses on styles more sophisticated for us gals in our late 30′s, 40′s, 50′s. PLEASE!!! And what ever you do, don’t wear high heeled shoes that you CAN NOT even walk in. One woman had heels so high she barely got to her seat. And I’ll tell you she never got up again. Not even at intermission for a pee break!
Here are just a few styles that are fashionable, fun, and youthful. You could wear them anywhere and feel fabulous!
This outfit is by Claire McCardell…love it!!!
This very stylish silk jumpsuit by Jasper Conran will make you walk with a strut.
And for an evening out on the town why not slip into a sexy dress by Vera Mont.
BTW…a great pair of stylish jeans accompanied by a trendy but stylish top can always work too…as long as were not talking Black Tie Affairs…
PS Pierce Brosnan was there with his wife (I modeled with her back in the 80′s) Now she was dressed elegantly in a black gown! You go Keely!!!
Feel free to contact me with any fashion dilemmas. I am here to help all of you fabulous women!
