This summer you might want to add a little pop to your pucker as you’re walking down the isle. Shake things up a little! After all it is summer and color is everywhere…Hot colors include shades of red, orange reds, and fuchsia. Check out Max Factor Long Wear Lip Color, Cover Girl Long Wear Lip Color, Avon’s Perfect Wear Extralasting Lipstick. These lip colors will stay on long after “You may kiss the bride…”

With a veil like this you can focus all of the attention on your lips and keep your eyes looking soft and subtle. Use Beth Bender’s Get in Line Eye Liner Stencil Kit to help you to achieve this simple eye look in minutes! It’s so easy to use you won’t need to hire a make-up artist. (With the extra money you can splurge on a bigger wedding bouquet.)
Remember girls, keep a journal close by. This way you can document all of your wedding tasks and check them off as you go. I found it helpful to glue photos of make-up looks I wanted to recreate for my wedding day into my journal as a reference. It made it easier to match colors in the store when I was shopping for my big day.
Happy Wedding…

Vanessa Hudgens is all about her lavender eyes, and with eyes like these, that’s all you need. How about trying a flirty purple hue on your lids this summer. If you’re a brown-eyed girl like Vanessa Hudgens, follow her lead and stick with pastels. If your eyes are blue go for a more intense lilac to make your eyes really pop, and if your eyes are green or hazel eyes, choose a deeper plum.

Vanessa Hudgens Rocking Lavender Eyes
For colors in pastels you can almost apply them up to your browbone as seen here on Vanessa. “I like to use my fingers to apply the first layer, especially if it is a shimmer, and then go back and blend with a brush”. It looks like Vanessa is wearing the TDF Eyeshadow Trio from Get in Line which she got at a recent event in Los Angeles. The kit includes a lavender shimmer, pale pink shimmer, and deep purple, so you can mix together or wear them separately.
Lash extensions are fun, and look great, but you can get the same look with lash clusters that you apply yourself. You can find them in most beauty supply stores along with the lash glue.

Kate Hudson was rocking the red carpet at a recent event here in Hollywood. Looking like a bronze goddess from head to toe. “Her look was complete with glimmering bronze lips, and perfectly applied bronzer in warm peach tones.” “A beautiful compliment to the soft bronze tones used to contour her eyes,” say our in-house expert and my sister Beth.
A glimmering bronze lip looks young and fresh, but still elegant,” says Beth, and paired with the sexy tousled hair style seen here on Kate, it lends to a beautiful balance that makes this look so fabulous.

Kate Hudson Gives Us Her Best Sunkissed Look
To get Kate’s look start by applying a sheer foundation, or tinted moisturizer to the face. Use a sponge for more coverage and a brush for a softer application. We just love Vincent Longo’s Light canvas Tinted Moisturizer. Apply a touch of powder to the T-zone if you tend to get shiny, otherwise skip it and go right to the bronzing powder in Just Peachy from beth bender beauty.
Eyes: Use the Get in Line Smoky Eye Trio in SGB, a must have eyeshadow palette for creating eyes as sexy as Kate’s, and Brush the Golden Beige shade onto the eyelid first before contouring the crease of the eye with the deep bronze.
Liner: Use the Stay Put Gel Liner in Onyx, and line the eyes with a flat tapered brush. Make sure to line as close to the lash line as possible, and extend beyond the lashes on top. Lightly press the brush along the bottom lashline for just a hint of color.
Mascara: Finish the eyes with 2000 Calorie Extreme Lash Plumper Mascara from Max Factor. An absolute must have beauty item for lashes that command attention on and off the red carpet.
Lips: Global Goddess Lip Veil in Mirage is beautiful. Apply one coat and finish with a clear gloss of your choice.
xx

Which celebrity who some might call a cradle robber, made her way into the Kopelson Clinic in Beverly Hills for a little Pearl Fusion? Covered with sunglasses and a baseball cap, but our beauty spies are just too good! We’re not telling but we here she has a twitter page that is getting lots of attention.
Dr Kopelson and Dr Feldman the celebrity dermatology go-to team, specialize in skin rejuvenation through cosmetic laser surgery and break-through clinical cosmetic treatments. Pearl is a non-invasive procedure in laser skin rejuvenation, and is the newest and best way to renew the skin’s surface with quick results and less downtime than today’s other technologies. The Pearl™ procedure combines the impact of a traditional skin resurfacing laser with the gentleness and safety of the more non-invasive lasers to treat aging and repair sun damaged skin.
Pearl-Fusion for anyone who doesn’t know, is a combination of Pearl and Pearl Fractional, combined in one treatment. I have seen the before and after pictures, and let me tell you the difference is so amazing your jaw will definitely go into drop mode. It is unbelievable!! Like taking ten years off of your age. Where do I sign up?

I’ve always had sensitive skin. My face has broken out in a rash many times over the years because of something chemical that found it’s way onto the surface of my skin or something I ingested. I’ve never known exactly what to do or how to make it disappear “like magic,” until now…
There I was sitting on my bed watching a DVD from Netflix and eating ice cream topped with luscious strawberries. Ah, the life…my kids were inside leaving me alone (a rarity). About 50 minutes later I got up to wash my face and gasped! When I looked into the mirror my face resembled a raccoons. It was red across my cheeks, nose & brows. I immediately dialed up my sister…no answer. My next call was to the one and only Anouchka Ferrer who is under “911″ for any skin concerns.
Anouchka answered right away and I plunged into my dillema. This was not working for me. I had several appointments the next day and couldn’t sell myself looking as they say “red in the face!” I knew she would know what to do. “Te-see,” she said, “don’t get yourself all worked up. Stay calm. Do you have any aloe vera?” I did…thank G-d…”put it on your face and then cover it with very cold & wet cotton pads for a half hour. Let me know if that helps.” I thanked her and rushed back into the bathroom to do as I was told. I laid back on my bed and willed it to work…
As the 1/2 hour mark was approaching I hesitantly got up to check out my face. Much to my surprise most of my raccoon rash was gone. Ya!!!!!!!!!! All was right again in my world…crazy I know but that’s me…
I think I’ll be avoiding strawberries for a while…
Peace out…

Leighton Meester’s deep brown eyes and beautiful bronzed complexion get an instant bling-bling from shimmering 24kt eyelids. Colors in rose-gold, are extremely warm and sensual, and make your eyes even more noticeable like Leighton’s.

Leighton Meester's Sexy Bronze Lids
To get sunkissed eyes, try layering your eye shadows to create intensity and depth. Start with a lighter shade like a gold shimmer, and then add your rose-gold shimmer. Shimmers work best for this kind of look and can be applied using your fingers, or a medium sized eyeshadow brush directly to the lid.
You can make your eyes pop like Leighton’s by using a black waterproof eyeliner pencil like BADgal from Benefit, and lining the inside rims of your eyes. Smudge with a Q-tip or brush along the lashline for a soft and still sexy look.

La Prairie has just launched an Advanced Marine Biology Day Cream SPF 20 that promises to firm, repair, and protect your skin. According to Celine Cousteau, granddaughter to the legendary ocean explorer Jacques Cousteau, “La Prairie exemplifies how we can responsibly reap the benefits of our ocean’s resources.” We need to protect the sea just as much as our skin.
The key ingredients are: Proprietary Protective Aquaculture Complex of Phytoplankton which works as a defense system against UV exposure & protects your skin against free radicals; Sea Mayweed, Blue Seakale, Inula & Sea Starwort which soothes skin and fights free radicals; Proprietary Firming Aquaculture Complex of algaes, sea kelp to firm your skin; Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Shea Butter, and Sea Lavender to hydrate your skin; La Prairie’s exclusive Cellular Complex that stimulates your skin’s natural renewal process while moisturizing & energizing it with nutrients that encourage optimal functioning.

I love the emollient consistency. With this face cream a little goes a long way. My face looks dewy which I also love since it’s a sign of youth
(that I learned from Estee Lauder herself!)… After only a few weeks of using the Advanced Marine Biology Day Cream SPF 20 I’ve noticed that my fine lines are even finer. Yaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus my face is well protected in the harsh Los Angeles sun.
La Prairie’s Advanced Marine Biology Day Cream SPF 20 is available at Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue and www.laprairie.com.
