This spring why not embrace the colors of the season, and instead of your usual dark smoky eye, try one in a shade of purple, blue, or green like Thandi Newton. Start by rimming the upper and lower lash line with a black pencil. We love BADgal Waterproof Eyeliner from benefit, it’s fab!

Next apply the violet shadow on your eyelids and a little under the lower lash line. Wear the color close to your lash line and smudge it well—that way it looks more modern and chic. I also like using a colored eye pencil and layering it on top of a black pencil. I do this alot when I am working. It gives your makeup a more rock and roll edge.
MY BEAUTY TIP for creating these gorgeous eyes is to choose lighter tones like aqua, lavender, and turquoise for light to medium complexions, and colors like sky blue, violet, and teal for medium to darker complexions.
