Spring is right around the corner but celebrities like Nikki Reed are already sporting gorgeous sunkissed eyes. Our in-house expert and my sister Beth suggests layering your eyeshadows to create intensity and depth. Start with a lighter shade like a warm gold, beige, or apricot, and then add your darker colors.

Shimmers work best, or a combination of flat and shimmer shadows. You can use a blender brush to apply color to the crease if you are doing a smoky eye, or just use your fingers and apply directly to the eyelid. Either look is really gorgeous. To create an easy and still perfect smoky eye, Beth recommends her Smoky Eyeliner Stencil. It fits any eye shape and saves you a lot of time and mess.

Beth’s Beauty Tip: You can make your eyes pop like Nikki’s by using a black waterproof eyeliner pencil like BADgal from Benefit, and lining the inside rims of your eyes. Smudge with a Q-tip or brush along the lashline for a soft and still sexy look.
