Now a days everyone is looking to save a buck.  We’re all cutting out the extras so we can keep our heads above water.  However, us fashionistas have to keep our heads also looking great…

CJ Cassaday has a solution. “I make all my clients look their absolute best and teach them how to keep their new hair style by giving them a clean strong shape when I cut their hair. This is key.” According to CJ your cut will grow out better and last longer!  He recommends avoiding a Bob Cut just above the shoulders because in a few weeks you tend to lose the shape and end up with a different look.  These days he leans towards layers around the face and crown to enhance your features and hide the ones you dislike.  Below is the popular Jennifer Aniston cut.

Keeping your hair a little longer will also allow you to pull it back into a pony tail or sweep it up for a more elegant look.  You can add volume to your hair by putting in Velcro rollers at the crown.  “Just roll the sections of your dry hair where you want volume, add some heat, a little hair spray like Redken 28, and once the curlers are cool shake them out with your fingers and voila!”

This is a perfect solution if you don’t have time to re-style your hair from the day before.  If you tend to have an oily scalp when you don’t wash your hair CJ recommends Renee Furterer Naturia Dry Shampoo.  Just spray it on your scalp, brush it out and in less then 5 minutes you have fresh hair.

So girls, you can save money and still look good during this economical down slide.  And imagine how great you’re gonna like on the up slide…

If you live in Southern California I would highly recommend calling Gavert/Atelier Salon and get a fresh new look with CJ!  I did…
