Smoky Eyes At Oscar de La Renta

The look at the Oscar De la Renta show was sensual and rich, and the focus was on the eyes, smoky eyes to die for. Renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath created this look, which was without a doubt, outstanding! To get the eyes just right Pat rimmed the inside of the eyes with a beige pencil, also a great tip for waking up tired eyes.

She then lined the lashline, top and bottom with a coffee-colored pencil. To give each model beautiful, sensual, smoky eyes, a brown eyeshadow with a slight shimmer was applied over the entire eyelid and up into the crease using a medium sized eyeshadow brush. A wash of color was also applied underneath as well.

Beth’s Beauty Tip: When doing a look like this where the focus is on the eyes, I recommend keeping the rest of your face soft and dusting most of the shimmer powder off your brush before sweeping it over your skin. This will stop you from applying too much color to your cheeks.

Finish with a pink or nude beige lip to give the eyes a perfect beauty balance.

Still deciding whether we like Scarlett’s auburn hair but one thing we do love are her cat eyes. Scarlett is such a chameleon when it comes to her beauty style but one thing that hasn’t changed much is her love of eyeliner.

When she was on Location in Spain shooting Vicky Christina Barcelona, (loved this movie) she brought her Get in Line Eyeliner Kit with her and used it throughout the making of the movie.
