Top Beauty Trends At The Oscars

All the girls were there on Oscar night. Some looked amazing as they made their way down the red carpet, and others not so much. All in all still exciting to be a part of and to watch the evening unfold as it did.

Hair pulled away from the face or in a soft bun that lay at the nape of the neck seemed to be a popular look for many of the women. Ladies like Jennifer Aniston and Alicia Keys decided to let their locks down, while celebrities like Kate Winslet and Diane Lane went for a more sophisticated look.

Natalie Portman’s look was created by celebrity makeup artist Jeanine Lobell who made her gorgeous golden brown eyes even more noticeable by applying purple shadow above and below the lashline. She applied a thin line that rimmed the entire eye and a few coats of Chanel Inimitable mascara. Her inspiration was the dress that Natalie had chosen to wear. “The color was such a gorgeous orchid, and being Rodarte, I wanted to do cool punk-rock, sexy make up” says Lobell. I would say she definitely saw her inspiration come to life in this extremely beautiful and star-stopping look.

Beyonce can rock the house, and rock some very sexy cat eyes. We are just loving her eyes and her absolutely flawless face that she sported on the red carpet. A look that proves how striking cat eyes when done right can create quite the stir. Beyonce was one of the first to score a Get in Line Eyeliner and Stencil Kit and now she’s become a pro.
Sarah Jessica Parker’s look was in sync with her alter-ego Carrie Bradshaw of ‘Sex and The City’.
With luminous skin as the backdrop, her eyes took center-stage with fully-rimmed eyeliner and a rich gray eyeshadow that made her gorgeous green eyes pop even more.
Check out more celebrity beauty trends at this years Oscars tomorrow, and our first celebrity teen who will be showing us how she gets red carpet ready.

CELEBRITY HAIR TIPS FOR SPRING

Posted by Te-see on 24th February 2009

I know it’s hard to believe but Spring is just around the corner…we start to feel alive & invigorated!  But the question running through all of our heads is “What can I do to look better”...Well, CJ Cassaday, stylist to the stars, has his weekly tips for you to contemplate…

We want a fresh look…believe it or not some easy and affordable ways to update your Spring look includes bangs! Yes, they are still alive and in fashion.  However, it is the Spring trend to keep them soft & textured.  “The most popular look seems to be shorter in the middle while tapering long towards the temple,” says CJ. It creates a more youthful look and less trips to the Doctor for Botox.

Length will be seen short and choppy bobs to ultra long locks with long layers & soft waves.  If you are looking to freshen up your color why not try a “Twilight Gloss Treatment” to add some shimmer in the sun!  Or why not spice it up with some beautiful tones to enhance your natural color.  It’s not expensive and lasts 6-8 weeks.

CJ recommends Okara Shampoo & Conditioner, and Renee Furterer Leave-In Spray Conditioner with UV protectors built in to keep your color 70 % longer.  “At Gavert/Atelier we have the Twilight Color Enhancement exclusivity.  It’s a great way to keep your hair looking & staying healthy!”

Thanks, CJ…Love your hair tips, darling…

Call or visit their site:  gavert/atelier and make sure you ask for CJ :)

Peace, Love & “Spring is in the Air Hair…”
