DOES YOUR HAIR GET THE RAINY DAY BLUES

Lately it seems like rain is always in the forecast…a little too much for my liking…and lets all agree that this is Not Good for your hair.  There’s just too many styles that DO NOT look good in the rain.  And if you have curly hair like me…don’t even think about straightening it.  A complete waste of time.  As soon as you walk out the door it’s frizzy and curly all over again!

Well, CJ Cassaday, your hair stylist to the stars has some tips that will make you have “happy hair.

For curly hair he suggests applying a curl enhancing cream like Morrocan Oil. It’s designed for those who like to let their hair air dry.  Simply apply the Morrocan Oil to towel dried hair.  Activate the curls by scrunching your hair with your hands and go!  My kind of style…Your curls will be soft and separated not stiff and crunchy.

For straight hair CJ suggests Myrrhea Silkening Fluid by Renee Furterer. It’s your best protection from humidity since it controls frizz and volume leaving your hair feeling ultra smooth.  It also has thermal protection for when you blow your hair straight so you are doubly shielded from the harsh weather and potential heat damage!

If your hair is really not having a good day CJ’s tip is to make a low pony tail at the nape of your neck, twist it up towards your crown then use a medium to large clip to hold it in place.  Let the ends cascade over the top…maybe add a couple of stylish hair sticks or use a fancy clip.  And you’re off…Sounds good to me…

Thanks CJ!

Peace, Love and Happy Hair!

Get Red Carpet Smoky Eyes For Anytime

Posted by Te-see on 17th February 2009

At this years Oscars all eyes will be on the makeup, hair and fashion. Not necessarily in this order but all will be equally important. Already here in Hollywood publicists are working overtime to make sure their celebrity clients are booked with the best of the best for hair and makeup. Treatments for skin and tanning sessions have been set up weeks in advance, and their gowns are under lock and key until the moment they step into them and step onto the red carpet.

This is an exciting week in Los Angeles leading up to the grand event, and most of us know at least a few people in the film business which makes it even more fun.

We don’t think Hilary Duff will be attending this years event, but since she is one celebrity who gets the most attention when it comes to her smoky eyes we thought we would show you how you can get them and without the help of a makeup artist. How cool is that! Seen here is the newest kit, Red Carpet Ready just in time for the Oscars, and for those loyal celebrities who can’t live without their Get in Line Kit.

The Get in Line Smoky Eye & Stencil Kit gives you sultry smoky eyes and cat eyes in minutes just like Hilary Duff. The stencils do the work for you and instead of eight or nine steps and too many tools, one stencil and a brush is all you need. Choose from over eight different trio’s and the original kit which is already a “must have” beauty item with beauty editors everywhere.

As my sister Beth always says “baby, you don’t need a Red Carpet to be sporting red carpet smoky eyes”, and she should know since she is busy as we speak creating star stopping eyes on someone special:-)

xx,
