Hi Ladies:

It’s Sunday late afternoon here in sunny Los Angeles and I am cleaning out my kit after a day of doing bridal make-up or should I say runway make-up. Thanks to all of the popularity that the smoky eye continues to get, that is what everyone wanted. That and of course lashes. I am exhausted but very pleased with how beautiful everyone looked.

The bride chose shades of and lavender that we built by layering the color from light to darkest. I lined her eyes with a slate gel liner which really brought out the color of her blue eyes. Great also for staying put and not running especially for brides. I then applied individual lashes to finish the look. The rest of her make-up was very soft and sheer. We gave her a touch of blush on the cheeks and highlighted her cheekbones with an all over face shimmer from my line called “Pretty”.

On her lips I chose a nude beige shimmer “Chasing the Cash” with just enough color to bring the whole look together. Because there were so many girls in the wedding party (eight to be exact) not including the mother of the bride and mother- in- law I brought along my Get In Line eyeliner stencil system to help with the smoky eyes. I had only one assistant with me and the two of us were busy from the minute we arrived until we said good-bye.

The stencils worked out great because we were able to bang out everyone in half the time. Most everyone wanted a smoky eye with the exception of only two gals who wanted a cat eye. They all got lashes and couldn’t believe how amazing their eyes looked. When we were finished everyone was very happy and of course wanted to know where they could get an eyeliner kit. That little kit really does come in handy.

Well ladies, my make-up kit is clean and I am ready for my next shoot tomorrow.

Wonder whether they’ll be wanting smoky eyes too?
