Beautiful Bronzed Skin
Posted by admin on 18th May 2007
It’s that time of year again ladies when the weather starts to get a little warmer everyday and beautiful bronzed skin is taking center stage. The healthy way of course. Sephora’s catalogue is screaming with lots of ways to get that glow for the face and body. How smart of them to put a stunning model on the cover to remind everyone that summer is near.
What I love about this picture is that her beautiful bronzed skin was done by using product, instead of baking in the sun. Don’t get me wrong, I am a girl who loves the sun, but as I have gotten older I have become much more aware of the extreme damage that too much can do to your skin.
According to the catalogue she is wearing Fusion Beauty Glowfusion for face and body. One product that can be used for both is for me! For any of you that are familiar with Lip Fusion, this is the same company. I have not tried this particular product but I will definitely be stopping by Sephora this weekend to check it out.
Another product that gets a lot of attention and is actually not bad is Loreal’s Sublime. It has been on the market for a few years and offers a few shades depending on your skin tone. Another is the Jergen’s Moisturizer that acts as a moisturizer while tanning your skin over time depending on how often you use. Depending on your needs any of these will do the job.
Bronzing powders and creams are also a wonderful way to get a glow and again without harm from the sun. Nars has a great selection of make-up sticks call “The Multiple” which is good for creating a sun-kissed look.
The best way to figure out what product works best for you before purchasing is to try it. You can do this a few ways. One is to visit a cosmetic counter in a department store. Maybe one that you have visited before. Let one of their artists apply a bronzing powder or cream and wear it for the day. Make sure the color doesn’t change and that you like the way it looks. Sephora is also a great place to play with product and there is no pressure to walk out with anything. My kind of store. They carry many lines and it is actually a lot of fun to go in and just play.
The biggest mistake women make when buying cosmetics and skin care products is to buy something they are unsure of, or to feel like they have to because someone spent time helping them. I always tell my clients to wear it out and see how it wears. That is the best way to really know if you need it or not.
Most importantly ladies always wear sunscreen. 20 or higher will help protect your skin and keep it healthy and beautiful all summer long.
xoxo,
Beth
